Beans

in the morn, I drink caffeine 

it keeps me nice and lean

the beans I grind are not hard to find

they instill my dopamine

then I shiver like I'm in a cold river 

I sit there and quiver and I turn to my liver

And ask "What the Heck?'

depression usurped

I happily slurp

All while my brain cells die

Its an addiction 

a harmful infliction 

to my physical health

and my overall wealth 

of self-worth and pride
