Your POV

"Alright, y'all I'm out for the day. I'll talk to you all later." I say as I head out of the building of my job.

"See ya, Y/n," One of my coworkers said to me.

I opened the door and headed to my car to drive home. I got off early today, so Demi was the only one on my mind as of late.

When I got home, I quickly jumped out of my scrubs and into some other clothes. Afterward, I grabbed my phone to call Demi. We were supposed to meet up today and go shopping for some stuff.

The phone rang for a while and a few rings later, she picked up.

'Hang on, guys... hello?' Demi's voice rang out.

"Hey, is this a bad time?" I asked.

'No, not at all. I was gonna call you just now. The team and I are gonna wrap up in a few minutes. Are you out of work?'

"Yeah, I am. I had to rush home and change first. I hope that was ok. I probably should've asked first."

'It's fine. There was no need to ask. I think I might go home and get a little comfortable myself. I might leave in a few minutes, being that most of the hard work is done. So, sit tight and I'll be over to you in a few.'

"Okay, I'll be waiting."

'Great. I'll see you in a few.'

We hung up and I had to quickly fix my hair so I wouldn't have to do it later. My mind was racing with thoughts of how the rest of the day could go. What was I going to see? What more am I going to be exposed to? My mind kept going with the intrusive thoughts.

They weren't negative thoughts. It might be hard to believe but I was more excited than worried. I wasn't worried at all. I was thrilled.

A loud ding broke me from my thoughts and I looked to see that it was my phone. Bianca was texting me.

'Hey, wanna hang out today?'

'Nah, I already have plans with Demi. Maybe another time?'

'Wow, the girl's been here for a few days and she's already bogarting my best friend 🙃'

'Yea I'm sorry hun ☹️'

'It's ok. Maybe another time 😊'

'Thanx for understanding. Luv u :)'

'Luv u 2. Have fun, ok? But not too much fun lol'

'I'll try hahaha'

I laughed to myself a bit and put my phone back in my pocket. I finished fixing my hair and went over to the couch to catch what was on television.

[Thirty minutes later]

My phone rang and I picked it up to see Demi's contact flashing across my screen once again.

"Hey, you," I answered.

'Hey. Are you ready?'

"Yeah. You're on your way over?"

'Of course. I should be over to you in no time. Sounds cool?'

"Yes. I'll be out when you tell me you're here."

'Nice. I'll see you in a few.'

"Okie dokie."

I put my phone down and went into the closet to look for my jacket. I quickly put it on before Demi got here to avoid less clothing to put on. I didn't want to hold her up.
