Chapter 3: Winds Of Change

Train

No POV:

On a train headed down the line, we find Y/N sitting down with Lucy, Natsu, Happy and Gray along with Erza who is considered to be one of the strongest mages in the guild. Right now Natsu was moaning in pain from his sudden motion sickness. Lucy was curious as to what Erza's magic was, Happy's description was very simplistic. "She makes people bleed...to death" was how he described it. That worried Lucy just a little bit "my magic is impressive but I think Gray's is more beautiful" Erza said. Lucy was curious as to what Erza meant by that "I am an ice mage and I use ice maker magic" Gray explained using his magic to create a sculpture of the guild logo. Lucy already knew what kind of magic Natsu used but she didn't know all that much about the magic Y/N used.

"So Y/N, since we're talking about magic, I was wondering what kind of magic you used?" Lucy asked Y/N curiously. Erza was curious about what kind of magic Y/N used as well. She didn't hear much about how Y/N dealt with Natsu and Gray the other day.

Y/N POV:

I was waiting for that question to be asked to me, they wanted to know what kind of magic I used. "I am a smoke dragonslayer, which means I use smoke dragonslayer magic" I answered. "So that's how you did all of that stuff that day" Happy said. "Yeah, unlike Natsu's fire dragonslayer magic my magic allows me to much more, I can create things with my smoke and even alter my body" I explained. I then made a miniature bat out of smoke and had it fly around a bit before disappearing. "That's just a few of the things I can do with my magic but as long as I am creative there's a lot more I can do" I said.

After that Erza began to explain to us why she needed all of our help with this problem she had. I wanted to know why someone who was as strong as her needed the help of others. "So Erza, what is it that was bothering you?" I asked. "Hold on a minute" Erza said before she punched Natsu in the stomach, knocking him out. Both Lucy and I were taken by surprise as to what Erza just did. "Now, to answer your question, while I was on the road after I completed my last mission, I overheard something that troubled me greatly" Erza began.

"This group of mages mention something about a person named Kage and Erigor along with the dark guild Eizenwald and their plans to use something called Lullaby" Erza said continuing her story. Apparently Lucy and Gray had heard someone mention a name Kage before. I didn't know who this Kage was but this Lullaby caught my attention. I could of sworn that I heard of it from somewhere, maybe it was long ago but I couldn't remember.

Not remembering was going to eat at the back of my mind until I would finally remember. But besides that I still couldn't believe that I was here. I never thought that I would be on a team and going on a mission. Thinking about it made me remember when we started this journey.

Flashback

Train Station

No POV:

Waiting at the train station was Y/N along with Lucy, Natsu, Gray and Happy. They were waiting for Erza to arrive so they could begin this mission Erza asked them to come along on. Y/N was a bit unsure if he should come along, he didn't know what to expect and he wasn't sure if they'd trust him. Then there was the case of Y/N possibly going on one of his blood lusts, thankfully Y/N brought enough vials to prevent that from happening.

Lucy was coming along because she was asked by Mira to keep an eye on Natsu and Gray. She was going to make sure they wouldn't fight while Erza's back was turned. Seeing Natsu and Gray go at it made Y/N think it was a good idea for Lucy to come. "How long is she going to be?" Lucy asked "hopefully not for much longer or I am going to kill those two myself" Y/N answered.
