"good morning kids, you look so tired, i wonder why." mr. moon greeted the group with a cold, monotone voice as they entered the main area to have their breakfast. the ones who had stayed asleep in their tents were confused while the rest avoided eye contact and took a set at the table. 

"okay y'all, today we're doing a treasure hunt! you have an hour to eat and get ready then meet us back here at 9am." everyone nodded at mr. bae's words and started talking about what the treasure hunt would be like.

"we better not have to do any hiking because i am not ruining my heels." ahin shivered at the thought and nancy, who was sitting next to her, rolled her eyes. 

"you only brought heels on a camping trip?"

"no idiot, i just want to wear heels today." ahin spoke as if she was saying the smartest thing everything and everyone decided to just let her believe that. 

"anyways, what kind of treasure hunt do you think it is?" jisung asked the group.

"hopefully it has something to do with chocolate." chenle murmured and donghyuck nodded in agreement.

"man, stop making me think this much this early in the morning. i haven't even had my coffee." jaemin groaned and stood up from their table before making his way over to the coffee machine to pour himself a large cup of coffee. jisung looked at his friends with a look that said "are you serious".

"i literally just asked what kind of treasure hunt y'all think it might be."

"okay and maybe that was an insensitive question, what if jaemin has a bad experience with treasure hunts." donghyuck tutted at jisung and shook his head to show his disappointed. jisung huffed and continued eating his cereal.

"this is why i stay quiet."

everyone laughed at jisung's annoyed expressiona nd soon jaemin joined them again with his coffee. they quickly ate so they'd have time to get ready and once they finished, they returned back to their tents.

once everyone was ready, they walked back to the main area and joined all the other students waiting there. renjun accidentally met hyunjin's eyes and they were quick to look away, cringing from the awkwardness.

"okay, each cabin will be assigned a color and your aim is to find all of your colors. there will be sheets of paper with your color hidden around this place and you'll get another paper with hints. jiu will hand you your papers with the hints now and once i blow this whistle, you're free to go. whoever finds all of their colors first gets an A in both mine and mr. moon's class." mr. moon, who was peacefully drinking his coffee, choked upon hearing this.

"i did not agree to-"

"go!" mr. bae cut the other teacher off with the blow of his whistle. jeno, who had received their sheet with hints, led the way to their first location.

"okay it says our color is pink. first hint - give me food, and i will live. give me water, and i will die." jeno furrowed his eyebrows at the words, repeating the sentence to himself as he tried to figure it out.

"a fire!" hyebin yelled excitedly and everyone cheered but quickly quietened down.

"but what does that mean?" ahin tilted her head slightly.

"oh, our bonfire!" chenle squealed and jumped up and down at his realization and everyone began cheering again. they began running in the direction of where they had their bonfire and surely enough, a pink piece of paper was stuck in between some of the wood they used for their fire.

"okay, that's one out of ten of them found. what's next?" jisung glanced over jeno's shoulder to read the paper.

"freaky friday, 2003 movie. that's all it says." 

"how are we supposed to know what that means?" mark scoffed and shook his head, taking out his phone to google the movie.

"oh i've seen that movie! a mother and her daughter switched bodies." ahin explained the movie and everyone nodded.

"so it's either something to do with our mothers or a switch."

"i got it." jaemin clasped his hands together and everyone turned to look at him. "hyebin and hyunjin switched cabins, it must be something to do with hyebin."

everyone then turned their attention to hyebin. "go check your tent, it might be there."

hyebin quickly ran to her tent and searched the whole tent and her bags but found nothing.

"nothing?" jaemin pouted as the girl emerged looking like a mess after searching everyone.

"nope, nothing." she shook her head with a sigh.

"wait." something in hyebin's hoodie pocket caught nancy's attention and she stepped forward to check what it was. she pulled out a pink piece of paper making everyone's eyes widened and they all sighed in relief.

"so it was on hyebin the whole time." jeno chuckled before looking back at their hints.

"well, this one is going to take a long time."

a/n: hi i'm updating my books to distract myself from the fact that we're putting my dog down next saturday

he's so old (his breed usually live till theyre 10-12 but he's 14) but i really hoped he'd live at least another year but recently his walking has gotten bad and all he does is sleep and eat and he never finds joy in anything anymore so it would be cruel to make him keep going like this

i've had him since i was 3 and he's helped me out of so many situations, the thought of losing him breaks me and i really don't know how i'll manage but i know it's the right decision
