Controlled

Part 5

         I stayed up until 2 Am trying to come up with more ideas. I ended up passing out on the floor with a pencil still in hand. I wake up the the sound of the front door closing. I get up and place the notebook on my bed. I head downstairs and see a plate full of food waiting for me on the table. I also see two empty plates so my parents have probably already left. I grab my phone to see if i got any more messages from lynn or carl. lynn messages me saying carl had been removed from out friend group. I was relieved and sad to see him go at the same time. all three of us were friends since day one of kindergarten. I decide to message lynn back, " that's good. also i spent almost all of yesterday coming up with ideas to expand our group of people who are against the government." after that i sent pictures of the pages in the notebook showing the ideas i had come up with.

     After a while i hear my phone buzz and it was lynn messaging me back. " hey i will look over these ideas with the rest of the group to see which ones they think will work." she texted back. " okay" i responded. I put my phone back in the place my parents had left it and just waited around most of the day. i just sat around not doing much, occasionally getting up to get food or water but that was it. i didn't really have anything else to do.

   My parents finally arrived home from work and begin on making dinner. They still acted cold around me seemed mad even though it has been a few days. My mom finished up making dinner while i set the table and my dad is getting everyones drinks. we sit down to eat and like the past two nights no one says a word. I finish up eating and get up to go to my room to sleep. I decided to go to bed early because of the lack of sleep the previous night and because i had school the next day.

   I woke up and got ready pretty quickly even tho i was not late. I scarfed down my breakfast and scurried out the door to the bus stop. I was really early so i had to wait a bit foor lynn to show up. Lynn finally showed up and we started to chat as we wait for the bus but then we saw carl approaching the bus stop from his house. As he got closer we went silent and starred awkwardly at the ground. he made it to the bus stop with lynn and i and he just stayed silent. He could barely even look at the either of us. The bus came and lynn and i say near the back were we normally would sit and carl sat alone in the very front row of the bus.

    The bus arrives at school and this time there was no giant mob of students in the entryway. Because it was close to summer it was on the announcements constantly about getting ready for the required summer school thing. We have about 5 weeks of school left and then we get two weeks off. After that we are going to be sent to the summer school for most of the summer. That summer school is now the only thing being talked about. Kids are wondering where they will be kept there. We are not allowed to leave the school premise until it's officially over, so we won't be able to see our parents most of the summer. It's a relief to some and devisating for others. During our normal classes teacher at the end also keep reminding us and telling us things we should pack up and bring. We are only allowed to bring things we need. No books or anything to  keep us entertained. Just our phones although they check them once a week to make sure we don't plan anything.

     For the remaining 5 weeks of school everyone was getting ready, saying goodbye to parents, and other things like that. We were notified we would be staying in cabins separated by gender. The closer we got to the end of the school year the teachers and other school staff reminded us constantly about what to bring, the rules and all of the other basic information. The day finally comes where all of us were to be sent to the summer school.  The buses came like they were taking us to normal school but they just picked up some more kids than normal. The bussed make their rounds picking up every kid from out school. They eventually get everyone and all the buses make their way to the summer school. All the buses arrive at their destination, drop the kids off, and leave.
