"Ooh I look so good" my client said admiring herself in the mirror. "I'm glad u like it" I said as I handed her her change and a free pair of mink lashes. I always gave my customers little goodies to take along just so they feel welcomed and appreciated.
After she left, I went to go wash my hands before going into my office. I opened up my laptop, confirming some appointments for the rest of the week. I then decided to check my emails. I opened the first mail at the top of the list and read it, 'hi ms Brielle Bailey. I am Melanie Cortez and I am a fellow youtuber/ influencer. I am aware that you do YouTube and I'm writing to formally invite you to an event that I'm hosting. It's an event for all YouTubers to come out and meet and bond with each other. If you are interested, please respond to this email so I can send you further details.

I exited, reading a few other emails not sure if I wanted to attend yet or not. After reading a few more emails and responding to YouTube comments, I decided to head back out to the main area of the shop.
I sat down in my clients chair. "You got anymore clients for today?" I asked shay as her client walked out of the shop. "Na that's it for the day thank God." she said as she sat down. "What about you?" shay asked. "Yes I have a 3:00 and thats it." I said. "Lucky y'all, I got a client for 2:45 ,3:15 And 3:45" Kelsi added as she was finishing up with her third client of the day
"Girl you workin workin." I said with a chuckle. "So I just got invited to an event for YouTubers." I said. "Really? Aww that's great. " kelsi responded focusing on what she was doing. "Uh ..I'm not too sure if I would be going yet." I answered looking at my phone as it vibrated. "Girl you going." Shay said rolling her eyes. "Anything to get you out the house" she added.
I laughed. Looking back at my phone seeing I had a new dm. I opened it seeing it was From Asia.

I exited my Instagram locking my phone looking up to see kelsi and shay smiling at me. "Who got u smiling like that?" Shay asked." Girl it's not even like that...Asia just texted me and asked me to squeeze her into my schedule on Friday." I answered getting up to start prepping for my next client. " mhm...i see you already getting acquainted with your sis- in-law. " she said looking at kelsi as she smirked. "How did she become my sister in law?..I barely even know the guy." I said chuckling as I took out a clean set of brushes. "mhm" they both mumbled at the same time. I laughed. "y'all too much." I said as my client walked in.
After finishing up with my client, I left the shop deciding to stop by my mom's house. I got up to the front door twisting the knob. Realising it was open, I stepped into the house. I could smell food being cooked and I walked straight into kitchen where I found my mom stirring the pot.
"Hey boo" I said hugging her. "Gosh!" She gasped holding her chest. "Don't y'all know How to knock?" She asked " you scared me." She said slightly chuckling. "My bad ma" I said rleasing her.
"Looks like I'm just in time for dinner ." I said sitting at the island as she walked back to her pot " So I seen u been too busy with your make up and YouTube stuff that you can't visit ya momma no more." She said as she began fixing plates.
" you know it's not even like that, I be over here like once a week. I answered getting up to go pour some juice into glasses. "last weekend I got caught up in some stuff with shay them." I said as I sat down with my glass of orange juice. "Stuff like what?" She asked just as my brother walked in.

"Who this ugly person you got sitting in yo kitchen ma?" Mario asked walking over to me. "Jokes on you I heard we look exactly alike." I said laughing as he opened his arms to hug me. I got up from my seat hugging him back. "How u been bro?" "Good sis" he said releasing me from the hug "hungry as fuck ....mom What you got cooking?" He said taking a seat next to me .
"Boy watch your language... come in here ..aint even greet yo mama but ready to see what you could eat up." She laughed at she sat down our plates in front of us. "My bad ma" he said hugging her. "You smell like weed." She said simply as she sat down with her own plate.
"Now back to you Brielle . what kind of stuff you got caught up with?" She asked "don't freak out.. but me, kels and shay went to the club and there was a shootout or something and the police took us in for questioning." I said sipping my juice.
" What?" My mom said resting down her fork on her plate. "A shootout?.... bri you need to be more careful .. you know these things happen often at clubs and bars." She said in a serious tone. " I know ma."
"Oh I heard about that." " I heard it was Bruce that sent his men after Ace and his boys." Mario said chewing. My stomach felt weird hearing his name. "Ace who?" I asked pretending as though I didn't know who he was referring to.
"You don't even need to know sis." He laughed "he a dangerous man when he's pissed ..just gotta stay far." He added chuckling. I pretended to laugh along with him.
We continued eating our food and chatting for a bit before going into the living room to watch a movie together. After the movie was. Finished I got up to leave. "thanks for dinner ma. I'll come by and visit soon. "I said hugging her." "mhm..we'll see be safe girl Love you." She said hugging me back "love u too." I said back. "Bye fool" my brother said throwing a cushion at me. "You know you love me." I said hitting him in the head with the same cushion before running out the front door.......
