Chapter 10

"I'll stay  the night." He said as he took off his shirt getting comfortable. I smiled. "See I would do you like you did me and just give you a blanket and have you sleep on the couch, but I'm actually  a nice person so you can stay in the guest room." I said as he laughed. "Sorry about that, I didn't know if you were one of those weird, creepy females that be snooping around niggas place while they sleep." He chuckled " so  you thought  by leaving me in the living area I wouldn't snoop around?" I asked as I sat down  on the couch.

"No but I know there isn't shit down there to steal or destroy." He shrugged. "Oh so now I'm a thief?" I said throwing a cushion at him attempting to  hit him but instead he swat it away laughing. " no I'm just saying "i didnt know you like like that." He shrugged. Well im bouta go to bed lemme show you to ya room i said about to get up." Already?"He asked. "It aint even 12 yet we could watch a movie or something." He insisted.

"A movie?" I asked a little shocked that he wanted to spend time with me. "Fine ill go get some blankets." I got up walking into the room returning with two blankets and a few pillows i handed a blanket to Ace who sat on one end of the couch while i sat on the other. I made myself comfortable as he searched through netflix finding us a movie to watch. I got on my phone going to the email i received concerning the event and responded saying that i will be attending. We ended watch about two movies before i fell asleep on the sofa.

The next morning I opened my eyes seeing both me and Ace laying next to each other on the couch as  had one arm around my waist. It was an awkward yet comfortable position. I tapped him lightlyand he opened his eyes,quickly removing his hand"Good morning." He smiled "good morning....u slept here with me the entire night?" I questioned not really liking the idea of us being this close. He nodded as i got up walking to my room.

I used the bathroom before washing my hands and brushing my teeth. When i was done, I grabbed the toothpaste and a new toothbrush from the cabinet  taking it to Ace. "You can use the guest bathroom " I said to him as he took it from ny hands.

I walked into the kitchen to get started on breakfast as my phone rang. It was a faceTime  call from Shay. "Hey girl" i answered. "Whats good sis ..I aint heard from you since we left the shop yesterday. " she responded as she fixed her hair. "Girl my bad I had a busy day yesterday. " I answered as I flipped my pancakes. "I see ..so what about to do today? You coming to the shop?" She asked me " yh I've got quite a bit of clients today." I responded.

"You got a towel I can use to dry my face?" Ace asked coming over to me standing directly in front of the camera. " yeah sure...gimme one minute Shay I said looking into the phone. I walked off as Ace followed behind  me. I went into the linen closet in the hallway  grabbing a  spare towel, handing it to him."here" I said blankly. " thanks. sorry about that I didn't know u was on the phone with shawty." He chuckled a little ."it's ok you know they gone think we got something  going on." I said laughing a little  as I walked  back to the kitchen.

" that's why u been so busy to call me yesterday.  " Shay said as soon as I appeared in front of the camera. "Its not even like that...lemme call u back tho I'm bout to finish this food real quick." I responded as I saw Ace walking back into the kitchen. "Mhmmmm" she said laughing before I hung up. I placed Ace's plate in front of him.

He wasted no time digging in."what you bout to do today?" He asked taking a forkful of pancakes into his mouth "work" I answered  plainly as I sat down with my plate. "Oh I thought we was gonna do something  today." He said as he chewed. "Do something?" I repeated. "Since when you're not being mean." I said raising an eyebrow.

He shrugged. "Life made me a mean nigga.... but naa I enjoyed spending time with you last night." He smiled. "Shocking." I responded but maybe we can do something later on in the week." I suggested.

One week later

I was now on the airplane heading to LA for the weekend. I hated having to cancel my appointments but this mini vacation was needed. Times like these reminded me of when my ex and I used to take trips out of state before he died.

Ace and I have been texting back and forth for the past week.We havent hung out since because we both been busy with work. Even though Ace hasnt came out and told me exactly what he does,he kept dropping hints. I have also never mentioned the youtube side of my life to him just yet so I hadn't exactly told him the pupose for me being in LA right now.

The next morning I woke up to a beautiful view in my hotel room. I ordered breakfast and then headed to the bathroom to do my morning hygiene. After I was finished I heard the doorbell ring and I knew it had to be room service.

I quickly put on my robe and went to open the door. "Good morning how are you doing today?" The guy said politely as he pushed the tray with the food into my hotel room. "I'm fine how are you?" "I'm good thanks..eggs,toast,bacon,fruits and mint tea." He said calling the items that I had ordered. "Thank you." I responded.  "you're welcome." He said looking at me as his eyes widened a little.

"You look familiar...wait are you hey it's bri from YouTube?" He asked referring to me by my YouTube name. I smiled "surprise" I semi yelled jokingly. "I knew it....I don't usually watch those girly YouTube videos but your channel is dope especially your vlogs...and you're way prettier in person." He smiled at me. "Thank you..I appreciate it..don't go telling everyone where I stay now though." I said folding my arms.

"Na I won't..I respect your privacy." He said  walking closer to the door and I followed Behind him, "how long you here for though?" He asked."just  the weekend." I responded "cool maybe we can do something  before you leave...here take my number" he said pulling a small piece of paper from his pocket and a pen and began scribbling something on it before handing it to me. He didn't even give me a chance to respond." "Enjoy your day bri" He smiled as he walked away and I closed the door behind me.I looked at the paper seeing he had put his name as well 'Javon'.I placed the paper in my bag and continued getting ready for the day.....
