~Randy's point of view~
It's heartbreaking watching Xyla struggle. It has only been a week; I have had the kids since day three. The girls and I have handled everything. Xyla has done nothing but run. It's been seven days, and I am worried about my daughter.
Sydney stays at Xyla's house. I asked her too; Jones has been going over there too. Jones, Gary, and Tryzdin all work at the school. I don't think Jones knows that Tryzdin was Xyla's boyfriend. They never interacted. Sydney was always here with him.
Xyla still communicates with me. She has asked me to get her cake from Scarlett, and I have. I know from Sydney that is all she is eating. I get it for her. I know Scarlett wants to ask, but she doesn't. I pay her extra to make it.
My phone rings. It's Jennifer. I have to answer. I have to keep shit the way it is until their divorce is final.
~Phone conversation~
Randy: "Hello?"
Jennifer: "I need to see you."
Randy: "Things aren't great right now. I have my grandkids. I can't come there."
Jennifer: "If you don't come here, I am coming there."
Randy: "Fine. I'll fly down. Meet me at the airport. I will not leave the airport with you. I need to get back."
Jennifer: "Fine."
~End conversation~
I go find Sylvia and let her know she has to get the kids. I tell her why. I never lie to Sylvia. Ever. She assures me that she has the kids. I call my pilot. He was ready to take off when I got there. Two hours later, I was at the private airport on Gulf Shores. Jennifer was waiting.
I make my way to her. I cringe at the thought of being around her now. That's why I love Sydney...
Wait...
Did I say, love?
Fuck me. With everything going on, I can't tell her. I do need her to end it with Jones. I can't continue to let her be in a relationship with him. She is mine. I am ready. I am ready for a real relationship; I am ready for that with Sydney.
I find the manager of the hanger and ask for permission to use a room. He leads us to a little office with a round table and two chairs. I don't even sit.
Jennifer: "Hello, Randy."
Randy: "I would say it's good to see you, but I'd be lying. What was so urgent that I needed to be here?"
Jennifer: "I have to go sign the papers to give the kids to Tryzdin. Lord knows I don't want them. I didn't want them in the first place."
Randy: "Sign the damn papers then. Tryzdin is a great dad. They have been thriving you left."
Jennifer: "I didn't want to sign them until I gave you the chance to take them. There is a huge possibility one or both girls could be yours."
Randy: "I'll find out for sure. This doesn't change anything. We made a deal; I expect you to keep it. If not, I will have your ass thrown in jail. Don't forget I have dirt, Jennifer."
Jennifer: "You're telling me that you are willing to walk away from two of your daughters? Didn't you do that with Xyla too?"
Randy: "The difference between Xyla and your girls is I will be in their life regardless. Your ex, and I are good friends now. I see your daughters all the time."
