“UGH! Ryan!!! Are we almost there?” Nykia asked as she hiked upon the rock Ryan was on.
“C’Mon babe! Just a few more!” Ryan cheerfully said as he slid down the little hill. Nykia slowly followed behind.
They had been hiking for almost hours. Nykia was tired and sore from the night before.
“I really don’t wanna miss the sunset! C’Mon!! move your tushie!” Ryan playfully said as he went over to Nykia and gave her a quick shove.
She stepped up her pace till she came to a dead end.
“Now what?” She asked as she set her bag down near a pine tree.
“We wait.” He said as he sat down next her. He put his arm around her and held her close.
The air was warm but had a cool breeze. In the distance, you could see all kinds of animals. The squirrels were going up trees while the deer were eating their last patch of grass before the sunset. Down to the left you could see a waterfall. The water was clear and crisp. The fish were swimming around while a bird flew away from a tree branch nearby.
Ryan and Nykia loved this moment. The moments were they felt like everything paused. Like time froze and they could go off and do whatever their heart desired.
But the most desired part was about to happen.
The sunset.
“Look” Ryan quietly said as he began to take out his camera.
They both stood up and kissed at the right moment. Ryan took a picture of them kissing with the sunset behind them.
“Perfect, just like you.” He said as he put away his camera.
The moment was perfect.
The sun gently kissed the horizon and lite up the sky. The sky had mixed colors of orange and yellow, with a slight tint of purple-ish blue.
Ryan kissed Nykia again.
“I wouldn’t miss this moment for the world” He said as he placed his forehead onto hers.
“Ryan, you’re the sweetest. You know that right?”
He nodded and continued to watch natures beauty with her.
“Hopefully we can do this again sometime soon. But with a few more friends.” Ryan said.
Nykia nodded and kissed his cheek.
“Deffinatly.”
