My God, Alexa if you can't be with me, help me get over you." He murmured and Alexa's pulse raced. She's not fond of her pulse racing, it gave her the impression that she's not in control of her emotions and she never liked not being in control.
"Alex, I'm sure hindi nakakalasing ang kape kaya wag mo akong dramahan." She said as she pushed away from him.
"Sa tingin mo nagdadrama ako? Sa tingin mo gawa-gawa ko lang to?"
"Bakit? Hindi ba? Do you want another round of fucking?" She asked as she dropped her bag on top of her table.
"Do you think this is what it's all about? Me trying to get into your pants?"
"Oo." Alexa answered without batting an eye. "Am I that good a fuck that you'll actually resort to emotional blackmail to bed me? Ang galing ko naman pala."
"What?"
"Let's schedule it some other time, medyo busy ako. I'll call you when I feel the need." She dismissively said as she sat down. Alexander stared at her for a full minute before he laughed.
"Sa dami ng babaeng nakilala ko, ikaw lang ang mas mas gustong i-regard ang sarili bilang pang-kama."
"I'm just a realist. You've long shattered my idea of romance when you took by virginity in Boston so let's cut the crap." She stated without looking at him and he gazed at her in disbelief before he expelled a heavy breath.
"Kung yan ang gusto mo. Tandaan mong sinuyo kita at tandaan mong hindi ako habambuhay manunuyo."
"Tatandaan ko but I don't really see the need." Alexa replied and Alexander nodded his head before he opened her door and let himself out. Alexa clenched her fists. Did she believe what she heard? No. Absolutely not. Kilala nya ang mga lalaking tulad ni Alexander, mga lalaking sanay na makuha ang gusto nila; mga lalaking alam kung anong klase ng karismang meron sila; mga lalaking nandyan lang pag una but not really dependable when it comes to long hauls. Buti na yung ganito kesa gawin ko pang kumplikado. She thought as she closed her eyes and was surprised when tears escaped from them. Alexa! Do not make your life complicated! She reminded herself as she stood up and went to the bathroom to wash her face.
Nickolai opened the door to Alexander's office and frowned. His brother was facing the glass wall overlooking the city with his hands in his pockets. His shoulders slightly bent and he appeared to be in deep thought.
"Kung ano man yan, nadadaan yan sa ligo." He joked and was surprised when he did not receive a reply. "Alex.." He called and Alexander turned to look at him.
"Anong kailangan mo, Nick?" He answered in a tired voice and Nickolai shrugged as Alexander turned his back on him again. "May problema ba?" He asked and Alexander sighed.
"Hindi ko alam kung problema ba ang tawag dito. Ilang beses ba na sinabi ko kay Dustin dati na sana may babaeng alam kung hanggang saan lang sila? Yung tipo ng babaeng nasi-separate ang sex sa emotions. Yung tipo ng babaeng alam that sex doesn't automatically mean that there are strings attached."
"May nangyari ba inyo ni Alexa?" Nickolai asked but Alexander ignored his question as he walked to his table and sat down.
"Hindi ko sya maintindihan! Kakaiba ang babaeng yun!"
"Maybe she's not ready to be in any kind of relationship -- sexual or romantic."
"Yun na nga, may babae bang ganun? May babae bang ayaw sa isang relasyon? Nasobrahan naman yata ang pagiging feminist nya." He muttered and Nickolai laughed.
