Chapter 7

~*Rebel's P. O. V.*~

"You think you have an appendicitis?" I asked.

"It seems to make sense. A little," she said.

Alex and I got out of the car and went into to the clinic. She signed her name on the clipboard at the check in counter and handed it to a elderly woman with redish hair, light green eyes that were shielded by small prescription glasses and ghost white skin.

We sat in the waiting room chairs and eagerly waited for her name to be called.

After ten minutes(which felt like two hours), a skinny african woman in a pink and purple nurse uniform came through the door to the doctor's office and said,"Alexandria Cerulli?"

We slowly got up and followed the nurse.

"Wait in here, Doctor Jacobs will be with you in a moment," she said, gesturing us in the small room.

Alex sat on the leather chair covered in paper and I sat in a metal chair padded with green fabric.

"You ready?" I asked her, trying to fill the quiet.

She nodded her head. Her face was masked with fear but vanished when we were joined by Doctor Jacobs. He was a white man with no hair but looked 40 or 50, blue eyes, a long white doctor coat, tan dress pants, black dress shoes, and a white dress shirt.

He closed the door and greeted,"Good morning Mrs. Cerulli. Who is this?"

"Her friend Emily," I answered.

"What seems to be the problem today?" he asked, taking a seat in his chair.

"I've been sick for a couple of days. I get a weird twist in my stomach and start puking then it just goes away. Something is telling me it's my appendix."

He wrote something down on his clipboard then said,"Alright Alexandria, I'm going to have to draw some blood."

She nodded her head and the doctor got a needle ready.

I put my hand on her knee, she looked at me and attempted a smile.

"Alright, may I see your arm?" he asked.

She held out her arm and he carefully put the needle in her skin. The tiny glass cylinder filled with dark red blood then was removed from her vein. Doctor Jacobs put a cotton ball and a bandage where the needle was and said,"I'll be right back."

He left Alex and I in the room and we waited.

"Everything is gonna be alright," I assured.

She held her head down as if she was embarrassed.

After minutes passed, Doctor Jacobs came back in with papers; her test results.

"Alright Alexandria. We tested your blood. It's not your appendix. You're perfectly healthy. Mrs. Cerulli...."

Her jaw dropped, tears dripped from her eyes, and her face was in shock. Even I couldn't believe what he said. What is Chris gonna do?

~*Chris P. O. V.*~

"Alright. That's a wrap! You guys can go now," our manager said.

"Thanks Josh. See yah later!" Angelo said as we left the studio. It was grey and cloudy outside and you could hear slight thunder rolling in the distance. Probably going to rain soon.

The whole drive home, Ricky, Josh, and Ryan were arguing about songs we should play on our next tour. Ghost, Angelo and I sat quietly and listened to their argument.

"Is Alex seeing a doctor to see why she's sick?" Balz randomly asked in the back seat of the expedition.

"I'm not sure. If it gets worse, yeah," I answered.

"I think she should," Angelo confessed as he pulled in the driveway.

"Me too," I said.

When we got in the house, Alex and Rebel were on the couch in the living room. Alex had her head down and her hands folded together.

"What's going on?" Ang asked worrily.

"Alexandria," I said.

She looked up with the most sorrow look I've ever seen.

"Chris....we need to talk," she said, getting up from the couch, leading me upstairs.

We went in our room and she closed the door.

"Alex, what's wrong?" I asked.

My heart began racing and I started shaking a little. What could be wrong?

"I went to the doctor today," she admitted.

"What'd they say?"

She began crying and said,"Chris....I'm pregnant."
