Y/n walked happily while pushing the cart to Kairi's room. It was their first day as a couple. The doors opened and she saw Kairi reading a book. "Good morning your highness." She bowed. Kairi hates it when she calls him that but Marcus is in the room.
"Goodmorning." Kairi said, trying not to smile really wide. She watched as he eats his breakfast while flipping the pages of the book he's reading. Y/n saw but Marcus didn't that Kairi slipped small piece of paper under his plate and he looked her.
She walked out of the room and took the piece of paper under.
'Meet me at the balcony before midnight. I'll be waiting for you love♡'
His neat and perfect handwriting really fits him. She smiled while walking she didn't even saw Mattia walking towards her. He was waving and calling her but she didn't notice him making him slowly put his hand down.
"What is that?" Mattia asked while peeking over to see what she's reading. "Uh nothing." She hid it inside her pocket. "Why are you always shocking me." She laughed to change the subject. "I've been calling you but you didn't seem to notice me." He chuckled.
"Ok then. I should get going." She pushed the cart away. Little did she know that Mattia already knew what she's up to.
...
Y/n just finished cleaning the kitchen and she's on the way to the balcony. Mattia was following her without her noticing. "Hello? Is someone there?" She called out after feeling like someone is following her. Mattia was hiding behind the big curtain leaving him unseen.
She continued on walking and she arrived at the balcony. "Goodevening my love." Kairi said. "Goodevening too my love." She smiled. Mattia listened to the both of them talk. He didn't even know why he went there knowing it will just break his heart more.
"I think we should always go here before midnight." Kairi said while looking at her. "I coudnt say no since this is the only way we can talk to each other like this."
They had a talk for like 30 minutes before they decided to go. Mattia was still hiding. He watched as the two walked in different ways and he followed Y/n shortly after.
...
"Where were you at?" Giacomo asked his son. "Just wandered around pa." Mattia mumbled. "We have a lot of job to do tommorow and you're just having the time of your life."Giacomo's face softened when he saw Mattia's teary eyes. "Is something wrong?" He asked. Mattia didn't answer for a good minute, thinking if he should tell his dad or no. "Why doesn't she like me pa?" His voice broke and the tears started to fall
Giacomo sighed. "Its not you. Its her. You can't do anything about it anymore since she likes someone that is not you." He softly said. "But do you think she and the prince will even be together forever? Do you think i have a chance?"
Giacomo pursed his lips before answering. "I dont really know what future has to give but the only thing i can say is that wait. Wait for it to come ok? You might get over her or she might get over him. We don't exactly know what will happen." He smiled.
"Thanks papa." Mattia mumbled while wiping his tears away.
