CHAPTER 16

MINA POV

I got home from school. Today wasn't very eventful. The children are reading Hamlet and i am trying to think of ways to gain them extra points. I mean not to be mean or anything but WHAT WAS THE OLD TEACHER TEACHING THEM?! if he WAS even teaching them. Most of them should be able to understand the basic novel but it seems as if the book is foreign to them.

"Oh no shes in her frustrated thinking mood guys" hannah says coming in from the kitchen as they slump down next to me on the couch in the living room. I glare at her. "What? I was only saying the truth" She holds her hands up in front of innocently. Yea right. Innocent my- "Come on whats on your mind" Katrina asks while handing me a bottle of water. I sigh and take a swig. Closing the bottle and twirling it in my hands i start my rant. "Shouldn't an evelenth or even a twelfth grader know the basic of english! I mea-ugh! It's not even the children what is the school teaching them?! Nevermind that why aren't they paying attention to the students scores shouldn't they know a pattern going on?"

By now i was pacing back and forth and noticed that i threw the bottle at a vase. well..broken vase now.

"woah woah.."Katrina said"lets start from the beginning what exactly happened?"

i took a deep breath. "Okay so when i got to class mr. vasquez-" "you mean nick" i looked pointedly at her for interrupting me "sorry." "Yea whatever NICK was sitting at my desk playing with my stuff like he owned it! And you know i hate people pllaying with my stuff. So he decides to ask Will you go out with me?" i say in a really bad mocking tone "and i say no then he gets mad and demands i repeat DEMANDS to know why not i tell him because i don't want a relationship right now so he decides to get into my face and tries to persuade me and i'm like really dude your dealing with the master AT persuation so i tell him to back off and he doesn't so i had to throw him out. Gosh! And thats besides the point the point IS that after that happened i was already frustrated and the kids come in and think they can start talking so i had to put them in their place! i mean seriously disrespect ME WHILE I'M ALREADY ANGRY?! So i decided to do a little mini test and the kids read but didn't even understand what they were reading. They looked at the book like it was a foreign object! Can you believe that?! So i asked them "did you ever read with the other teacher?" they told me "Does magazines count?" i told them "No" and they shrugged and i said what did the other teacher DO to "teach" and they told me that he just gave the students all A's and let them do whatever they wanted as long as they didn't bother him. unbelievable! simply UNBELIEVABLE!" i threw my hands up in frustration and sat down on the couch with a sigh showing that i was done. i looked at the girls and they all had their jaws open and eyes wide as saucers.

"NICK DID WHAT?!" from Katrina

"yOU SAID WHAT?" from hannah

"YOU DID WHAT?" from sasha

"HU-WHA-AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" from lidea i covered my ears jeez that girl can scream. "Seriously i tell you about my class and all you got was Nick?! Goodness you guys are narrowminded!" Lidea was fanning herself "Okay okay" she gulped "We care about your nerdy english class problem but right now girly your love life is like our number one priority and you've just made it hard for us by like oh i don't knoe 80%!" i covered my ears "Jeez no need to yell...again" "More like 95%" Katrina mumbled. "Why don't you guys date him then? I dont want him" i felt a tug at my heart him maybe i need to see a doctor although nothing should be wrong with me..."Maybe i will" hannah said another tug crap what the heck is this? i rolled my eyes "Whatever i am going to bed thatnks for nothing!" i yelled from the top of the stairs. "Your welcome!" they yelled back. I slammed my door. Hey i may be the leader but i can act childish at times. every girl has her moments you know.
