My Weakness

Lake

First of all, this chapter is slightly inspired by the After Passion lake scene. So if you think you saw/read this already somewhere, you know now.

My thoughts were just spinning and I didn't really know where the front and back was anymore. "Malia pull yourself together, it's not going to be that bad" Aleyna nudged me. I said nothing and walked slowly to the closet to get something suitable to wear. I didn't really put much effort into my outfit, a simple dress did it for me. 

Shortly before 6 p.m. I made my way to the lake. I was walking along a path and I could already see the water through the leaves of the trees. When I got to the shore there was a long jetty and he was sitting at the very front. I slowly moved towards him and when I got to the front I sat down next to him. I glanced over at him for a moment. He didn't look well, was pale and seemed very sad.

"I'm sorry for what I said, I was just telling you the truth and words just came out of me. It... It was a mistake and I know you were so overwhelmed" he said suddenly. I felt tears welling up inside me. I looked at him and he returned my gaze.

"I'm even more sorry, I just left you there and acted like a total idiot!" I blurted out tears streaming down my face. Without even thinking he pulled me into a hug and it was just what I needed right now.

"Shhh, we both made a mistake and now everything will be fine" he tried to reassure me. "No Adrien, you didn't make a mistake, you were just telling the truth and I couldn't handle it. I was the one who made a mistake!" I took a deep breath.

"It doesn't matter now who made a mistake, I am just glad that you are here with me now", he said. This sentance made my heart go faster. "You know, I never felt that way before with someone"

"You're sweet" I said softly. A small smile crossed his face and then pulled me back into our hug. As we parted he looked at me. "You are the pretties girl I have ever met, you know that?" he said quietly. I was definitely blushing and a laugh escaped me.

"I never thought that I would fall for anyone that quickly again. But you must be something special", I told him. A slightly confused gaze covered his face. "Again?" he asked curious. "Yeah, back at the town we used to live, I had a boyfriend. I was so in love and then he turned his back on me and hurt me deeply" I explained. "Oh I am really sorry. So I totally understand if you want to take things slowly then", he told me. I looked at him and smiled. 

There were a few silent seconds when suddenly something came to Adriens mind. "Do you want to go for a swim," he said grinning. "What? But I don't have any clothes for it" I replied. "Then take my shirt" He pulled his shirt over his head and held it out to me. 

I reached for it and my eyes alternately wandered from him to my hand and back to his abs. He jumped into the water and looked at me expectantly. "Turn around" I said sternly. He rolled his eyes jokingly and turned around. I took off my dress and put on the shirt. It was way too big for me, but that was perfect for the situation.

 I slowly entered the water and took a deep breath as I looked towards Adrien. I swam to him and looked into his eyes. "What are we going to do with ourselves and our feelings now?" I asked cluelessly. "I don't know" he said while the grin on his face grew more and more. He swam a little further towards me and I twitched when he put his hand around my waist and pulled me towards him.

The other hand was on my cheek. "Maybe we start with this" he whispered. My heart was pounding like crazy and I didn't even know if this was real or if I was dreaming. He broke through the last free centimeters by placing his lips on mine.

Thousands of thoughts flooded my head and my pulse increased even more than it already was. I put my hands on his neck and enjoyed this beautiful moment to the fullest. As we parted again I looked at him and said, "and maybe we'll keep going like this forever."

I didn't smile, I actually laughed. It was so long ago. I was just happy. We swam for a few minutes and talked about some stuff. I was the first one who got out and changed myself into my dress again. Adrien also climbed out of the water. He was dripping wet and I couldn't help but just look at him and admire his body. He that sat down next to me. 

"You are going to see this more often the next time" he whispered in my ear. I giggled and answered "You weren't ment to notice that I was staring". We both broke out into laughing and I rested my head at his shoulder.

The sun had just set when we decided to go back. He put his arm around me and we walked leisurely towards the huts. He went with me to Aleyna's and my hut and hugged me before I was about to go in. "Thanks for talking with me Lia" he said. "Your welcome Adrien" I anwered.

I added a lot of details right now while translation bc for such a important chapter I wrote not enough before.
