Y/n's POV

It has been a few days since I woke up. The others would come check on me and hang out for a while before going back to training. Aqua would come in and heal me for a while before my mother came in and switched places with her to heal me. They did this at least a couple times a day before going to train.

I never left my room except to use the restroom which was no far down the hall. I wasn't allowed to try to walk yet so someone would help me into a wheelchair. I was told that a week after I woke up, I would be allowed to start trying to stand. After allowing my legs to get used to my body weight again, we would try to walk a little around the room.

Of course I'd have help but I want to get walking soon so I can get back to training. Vanitas is out there somewhere and I need to find him first before he finds me. The others didn't appreciate me saying this seeing as he is the one who hurt me in the first place, but after what he did not only to me but also the others, someone needs to stop him.

"Hey Y/n," I heard a voice at the door. I looked and saw it was my father, Pyrus.

  "Yes father?" I asked.

"We are going to explore an island not far from here. We're wondering if it's big enough we can train there. Those little kids that are always running around like to watch us and their parents don't really like it. One of the kids told us about the island and we decided to check it out. Think you will be okay alone for a while so we can check it out?" He told me sitting on the end of the bed.

"Yeah I should be okay. With the wheelchair beside the bed, I'll be able to get in it and to the restroom or to the kitchen," I replied.

"Okay well just be careful hun. I don't want you to get hurt while we're away," he said and kissed my forehead.

"I'll be fine father. I promise," I smiled and lay my hand on his. He smiled before he stood. I watched him as he left me alone. I guess the others were waiting for him elsewhere since I saw them leave the house earlier in the day. I watched as he walked down the path and out of my sight.

I tucked some hair behind my ear before swinging my legs over the bed. I slowly tried to stand on my own. I was able to stand for a good five minutes before I had to sit. I smiled before trying again. I kept doing this until I was able to stand for about fifteen minutes or longer.

I started towards the door. I pushed the wheelchair in front of me in case I needed it. I walked down the hall to the front door before opening it. Once I had it open, I pushed the wheelchair outside and sat in it.

The wind blew past me, blowing my hair off my shoulders. I smiled and closed my eyes. With a sigh, I relaxed in the wheelchair and felt the wind blow through my hair.

When I felt my legs were rested enough, I stood and pushed the wheelchair down the walkway to the dirt path. I looked in both directions and decided to go to the right.

As I walked slowly with the wheelchair in front of me, the wind continued to stay at a soft breeze. I got to a bit of a hill where I had to stop, knowing I would not be able to get up it. I pouted and thought of how I could get up it.

"Need help miss?" I heard a small voice behind me. I turned around and saw the three kids that always ran past the house. Two boys and a girl. One boy with silver hair and turquoise eyes, the other hair brown spiky hair with blue eyes, and the girl had red hair with blue eyes.

"Hi," I smiled. The three smiled at me, "I'm Y/n. May I ask your names?"

"I'm Riku. This is Sora and Kairi," the silver headed boy said pointing at his friends, "do you need help getting up that hill?"

I turned and looked at the hill before looking at them again. I nodded blushing slightly. They giggled and gestured for me to sit in the wheelchair. I did as they said and felt all three of them push me up the hill.

When we finally got to the top, they stopped to catch their breath while mine was taken away by the scene in front of me. The beach, ocean, and island in the distance was breath taking. I smiled and slowly stood. Kairi and Sora rushed to my side to make sure I didn't fall. I giggled and patted their heads gently.

"Thank you. Think maybe you can help me to the beach?" I asked. They nodded and held my hands. Riku pushed the wheelchair behind us as Sora and Kairi helped me walk slowly to the beach. I had to sit as soon as we got there but I was happy to finally be out of the house.

"You're the girl that's always inside that house where those people train out back aren't you?" Sora asked.

"Yes I am. I was hurt several months ago but I don't remember coming here because I was unconscious. I just woke up a few days ago," I replied.

"You're Ven's girlfriend aren't you?" Kairi asked. I blushed as Riku scolded the red headed girl. I looked at my lap tucking a few hairs behind my ear. I had never thought of it that way with Ven. I mean I like him but he's never asked me to be his girlfriend.

I looked at the three children in front of me and smiled when I saw them bickering a little. I giggled and stood from the wheelchair. They stood up so quickly I thought they were going to fall.

Sora did fall actually which made the rest of us laugh. I looked out at the island and realized that's probably the island father was talking about. I stepped around the three friends and walked to the waters edge slowly. They watched me silently but was prepared to help me if I needed it. As I stared at the island, I clenched my fists thinking about training.

"I need to get better so I can get back to training and get Vanitas for what he did to me..." I said glaring at nothing in particular.
