What If? (Ventus x reader)[sequel]

Chapter 1

Y/n's POV

   I sat on the bed as I thought about the events I had been through recently. I'm not sure where I was, but I wanted to find Ven. I looked around the room confused.

   'Where am I? What happened after Vanitas dropped me? Am I dead?' I thought. I shivered at the thought of being dead. I pulled the blanket closer around me as I tried to remain quiet since I didn't know where I am.

   Earlier I had tried to stand, but my legs were so weak that I couldn't. It was hard not being able to stand. I saw a book on the nightstand beside the bed and picked it up.

  '(Book title)? Hm well it's better than nothing,' I thought. I opened the book and snuggled in the blankets. I began to read the first chapter.

   Several hours passed as I read the book. It was really good. Why it was left there I have no idea but I'm glad it was. Gave me something to do other than sit on the bed bored.

   I turned a page when I heard the door knob turn. I jumped scared. I lay the book in my lap, my hands resting on the open pages. I watched the door nervously as it opened.

   I had to squint my eyes a little at the much brighter light in the hall. I heard a gasp and a crash of metal hitting the floor.

   "Y/n?!" A female voice said. Footsteps were heard from down the hallway as other people showed up in the door. As soon as my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw my friends who all had relieved expressions on their faces.

   Aqua was the female to open the door as she had tears in her eyes but a smile on her lips. I smiled slightly at all of them.

  "Hey guys.." I said softly. My voice coming out in a rasp. I blushed, embarrassed from the sound. The others laughed.

   "Let me get you a glass of water," Aqua said. She left the room as the others gathered around the bed. I looked around at them. I saw Terra, Xreyaud, Pyrus, and Roux. I frowned when I didn't see Ven.

   "He's outside," Terra said laying his hand on my shoulder. I nodded in understanding. Xreyaud sat on the end of the bed.

  "How do you feel?" She asked.

  "Tired and weak," I replied the best I could.

   "Stop making her talk. Her voice won't get any better," Aqua said walking back into the room. She handed me a glass of water which I gladly accepted. I took a sip and sighed as the liquid went down my dry throat.

   Aqua slipped her hand behind my back and used magic to heal me. I was used to her doing this after training before the battle with Vanitas. I shivered at the thought of him.

   "Y/n, do you know how long you've been asleep?" Roux asked.

   "A few days?"

   "Four months," Pryus said crossing his arms. I gasped, nearly dropping the glass of water. Terra took it from me before I could. He sat it on the bedside table along with the book that had been in my lap.

   "Four months?!" I yelled. I started coughing as a result. The others waited until I was done coughing to talk.

   "We couldn't figure out why you weren't waking. Aqua has been taking care of you since we came to this world," Xreyaud said.

   "Where are we?"

  "Destiny Islands. Vanitas won't find us here," Terra replied. I nodded and looked at my lap. I had been asleep for four months. The others must have been worried for me.

    The room was quiet as I took in the information. I sighed softly and looked up at Xreyaud. She looked at her lap. Pyrus lay a hand on her shoulder. She sighed and looked at the others.

  "Can we talk to her alone please?" She asked. Terra, Aqua, and Roux nodded. They left the room leaving me with Xreyaud and Pyrus. We sat in silence for several minutes before I finally broke it.

   "Why did you never tell me?" I asked.

   "It was to protect you, Y/n. We wanted to tell you, but father and Master Eraqus said not to," Xreyaud said.

   "So then you had to begin acting like my sister.." I said. Xreyaud nodded and Pyrus sat beside her. He wrapped an arm around her, allowing her to lean against him. I watched them silently. They were my parents, I shouldn't call them by their first names anymore.

They stared at their hands that were connected on top of Pyru- no my fathers leg. I nodded and moved closer to them. I lay my hand on top of theirs. They looked at me and I smiled. My mother smiled and hugged me. I felt another pair of arms wrap around me, knowing it was my father. We sat there in each other's arms for several minutes.

"Mother, Father..." I said softly. I felt a shudder from Xreyaud, my mother. I knew she was crying because I finally called her mother. I knew she was happy to hear that after so many years. I looked at Pyrus and saw him smiling. I smiled at him, happy to be with them.

   When we finally broke the hug, there was a knock at the door. It opened enough that the person who knocked could poke their head in. The person was Ven and when he saw me, the biggest smile appeared on his face. I giggled and smiled back.

"Hey Ven," I waved at him.
