Shiv's POV
I slowly treaded my way down the stairs. Nervousness and fear pumping through my veins. I saw Sahil going in his room. " Hey Didi!! Looking pretty. Going to meet someone special?"
To say i was shocked was an understatement. I wondered how he knew I'm going out with Chris.
" Thanks Sahil but how'd you know i'm going out?" I asked hesitantly.
" It was just a guess Didi, why is it true, are you going out with someone?"
" yup but I'm just going out to my friend...uhhh....Rosie..right Rosie's birthday party. See you later." with that i went down to exit the door but my dear lovely mother( note the sarcasm) caught me sneaking.
"Where do you think you are going?" " Ma, I'm going to Rosie's birthday party. I'll see you later."
i knew she wanted to say something more but i shut the door on her, just as Chris car came in view. I went down the porch and climed his in porche. Wow!! He sure did have a good taste in cars.
" Wow Chris! Cool car im impressed."
" That was the point babe. Hehe now off we go."We came to a stop at a cute indian restaurant. I knew it cause one of my friend's dad owned it.
" you're taking me to an indian restaurant?"
" Why? Don't you like it? I can take us somewhere else you prefer.?" I told him that it was okay, and asked why he decided to come here. He told me he was also a veg but never tried indian food, so he brought me here.
Amrish uncle greeted us as we went in. " Hello Shiv! What brings you here? A date with this young man huh? Well enjoy." I greeted him and we made small talk as he led the way to our table.
Chris pulled a chair for me and sat opposite me. We talke about our likes and dislikes. He told me he loved cars and he also read books. I was shocked because boys this days rarely read books. He liked the colours red and black. He told me his mum was half hindu and that clicked why he was a veggie lol.
I told him i liked purple, red, black and orange and loved reading and writing books. It looked like we had the same interests. I told him i wanted to become a dentist and he said he wanted to become a surgeon.
We laughed about till we decided to order i ordered pau bhaji, its made of cooked and mashed vegetables spiced well and bread to accompany it.
He decided to order the same cause he didnt know of any other indian dish.
We ate and he loved the dish saying he wanted to try more dishes. We talked on what to do on the weekends. He asked if I wanted to hang out with the gang, but i politely refused because i remembered my parents saying we had some guests coming over, and i had to be there.
It was already 9 when we left the restaurant. How the time passed by was a mystery. I had to say though i really enjoyed my time with Chris. He made me laugh alot for which I was grateful.
He pulled up on my driveway and i got out, thanking him for the lovely night. I opened the door and thankfully everyone was asleep.
I tiptoed my way up the stairs in the dark when suddenly, the lights turned on.
I turned to see both of my parents with arms crossed and looking questioningly at me.
" Young lady! Where have you been and why did that boy drop you off? Were you with him the whole time?"
After hearing that i knew i had alot of explaining to do. I followed them in the living room and sat on the separate sofa facing their stares.
" So Shiv explain what happened today." Stated my father.
" Dad i..........."
