Aldrich Von Huston was never a man to be crossed with.

He paced around, the wooden floor boards creaking underneath his weight. It was an old building. The peeling wallpapers surrounded the room and a lone window perched on the walls.

Inside, it looked depressing but for Aldrich, it looked like the start of revenge.

Giving a frustrated sigh, he walked to the lone chair in the middle of the room where the former vampire council leader sat, bleeding to his death. His right arm is in the far corner as his left leg is burnt beyond recognition. He was pissed; Aldrich Von Huston was pissed beyond belief.

"What are you not telling me, Giovanni?" He asked as he grabbed the man by his hair and pulled back, peeling off his scalp by the process. Like a powerful vampire lord, Giovanni did not scream. He didn't even say anything but groan and whimper at the pain. The pain, he could manage. After all, Giovanni is a man of experience; he would rather die than betray his own kind and hand the leadership to a psychotic bastard.

Giovanni grinned, showcasing his teeth. His fangs were pulled out hours ago and it was such a great pain but he endured it. He endured everything for the race he loves.

"Nothing," he said, teasing the former vampire King. "I'm just happy to inform you that you are about to lose."

Aldrich gritted his teeth and delivered series of blows in Giovanni's face, hearing the sound of his bones breaking and blood spilling. Before he could finish the vampire off, the doors to his sanctuary opened, revealing his informant.

He sharply turned to him and glared at the poor man who cowered behind the doors. "What is it?" He hissed as he glanced at Giovanni's form once more.

"We have terrible news."

Aldrich could feel his chest constrict. Something about the way he said it made chills run down his spine. It could ruin the plan, the monstrous voice inside his head shouted at him. He rubbed at his ear and pulled at the shell until it bled. He needed to get those voices out of his head. And by keeping them out, he needs to do what they say. They want peace, just as much as he does and they are going to get it.

By hook or by crook.

"What?"

His informant lifted his eyes to face him and from there, he was sure that it was grave news indeed. Something much worse than Calvin being the new vampire King.

"The Winchester palace is celebrating."

"I hardly see any complication in that. Of course they're celebrating! Their vampire lord is back along with his little whore and-"

"Calvin Campbell is going to have an heir."

The silence that followed was deafening. Aldrich's eyes twitched as he tried to process the words carefully. Calvin... But that's impossible! Giovanni-

He sharply turned to Giovanni who burst out laughing, stomping his feet in glee. He's been had. Aldrich knew it. Calvin is going to have an heir. He's going to protect his child.

He will continue the vampire monarchy.

With an inhumane bellow, his eyes turned black and everything else in him darkened as he let himself be consumed with anger, despair and betrayal. One thing crossed his mind before he could let his demons out.

Calvin needs to die. Along with his unborn heir.
