I guess I was heading to this location by myself but I really wasn't sure about it since it was from Mihawk. Our only encounter wasn't the greatest per say. I arrived at a clearing before looking confused at the map, checking between that and the letter. I was at the right spot but it was empty and just a forest. Being honest, it has been a long time since I've seen a forest since I was trapped up in city areas even though nature was gradually reclaiming the world.

Suddenly, a black portal opened before Mihawk came out who eyed me down while I could only raise my book slightly in my defence. He bowed his head curtly before briefly taking off his hat, showing his manners. I was left stunned before I bowed silently in return, somewhat trying to stop myself from shaking in fear. He offered a few words of consolation before offering out his hand. His eyes piercing my soul as I took his hand.

"You're shaking a lot, mi lindo." Mihawk remarked.

"M..mi lindo?" I asked.

"A nickname. Why are you always so nervous? You seem full of anxiety when talking to people. Normally, people feel anxiety when fighting but you seem to be the opposite." Mihawk commented.

"I uhm guess I'm just very very nervous. I'm not sure what I'm uhm expecting." I tried to joke.

"Then, I shall show you a place that will hopefully make you feel a bit more at ease. Come."

Silently, Mihawk walked me into the forest where I've never been too before and I could only stare at everything in slight fear before my shoulders slumped forward with relief at how relaxing this was. I even gripped Mihawk's hand slight tighter, making him return the sentiment. My eyes took in the scenery while we aimlessly wandered through the forest, Mihawk guiding my moves in case I were to trip. A gentleman. Eventually, we came across a waterfall and we decided to sit at one of the smooth boulders.

"It's so peaceful..." I smiled gently.

"It is a nice change if pace from the current world you live in, isn't it?" Mihawk raised a brow.

"Mhm uh how did you find this place?" I asked hesitantly.

"I was sword fighting with the Red-Haired baboon once and we nearly knocked down this area in the process. I come back here because I like it." Mihawk said.

"That's... cool? I'm assuming you uh mean Shanks, weird to know that uhm he used to fight you and be on par... considering it's easy to uhm take him down with a book." I laughed slightly.

"That's not on his part and more on you having the rather unbelievable strength to whack that hard. I will admit, it was rather humorous to see you do that on multiple occasions if he flirts too much. The fact that one of the strongest can fall to his knees because of you holding a book. I had to get to know you. You seem to be quite capable with a gun too." Mihawk analysed.

"I think you're rather remarkable with a sword."

The words came out of my mouth before I stopped myself and apologised but Mihawk simply put a hand on my head to reassure me that it was fine and rather endearing. It was much easier to talk with him afterwards about my life as a human and his as the strongest swordsman. I joked a little that I used to have to animate fighting scenes a lot as an odd job because a lot of Isekai and Shonen shows had that but I flew by Mihawk as he didn't understand what shows were. It took a while to explain to him before I pulled out my sketchbook to show him some examples of rough drafts which interested him a lot.

"So you studied the arts of swordsmanship? They taught you this in this world? That's odd since only a few dared to use swords when we overtook the world."

"You see uhm we moved away from that part of fighting when we uhm began somewhat peacefully living together. There were uhm still some swordsman sports out there like uhm fencing which uhm had three different types. Places especially in Asia seemed to have kept the culture of uhm swords like Japan having the Katana, the Malaysians with the Kris which uhm was a curved sword and the.."

Mihwak let me ramble on, hearing my words contain less fillers and I seemed to be more peace while I ranted about the items I had studied back in arts school. When I realised I had gone a tangent, I shut my mouth before feeling myself got hot in embarrassing but with the smallest of smiles Mihawk reassured me that it was fine. His eyes unusually soft which worked surprisingly well for his eyes despite usually having glaring eyes. They weren't scary anymore. He wasn't scary, rather charming instead.

Mihawk looked like one of the most handsome men under the Sun and I could only wonder what he looked like under the moonlight. His hand lightly grabbing mine again, pulling me up and towards him.

"Shall we continue this walk of time, mi lindo?"
