"Ahhhhh, that's another chapter finished~!" A young feminine voice says to no one, closing the lid of the new laptop bought a couple months back. Streeching the sore arms and legs, she then unties the ponytail holding her brown hair back from her face, which contained a small frown. "I really feel like I need to improve on my writing... something just feels so... off."

This person, known as Kirsten Kazeko, gets up from her seat and walks over to her window, pulling the shades up. The sun shines brightly, but her brown eye reflection doesn't fully express the same. This young adult has been alive for almost 25 years and until her 24th birthday, life was complete and utter crap. There was never a smile to be found, nor happiness to be felt. Although that has changed almost 11 months ago, life still has its moments...

Next to the closed laptop on Kirsten's desk is a 3DS XL... but it's not your typical system. It's possible to record directly from this system to the computer... well, that is until someone didn't have permeation to hold it and dropped it, destroying both the local play function and the port for recording. She was planning on recording a Pokémon Pearl playthrough and have a surprise upload to her YouTube on May 30th, which would be her 25th birthday. Looks like those plans went down the drain...

Since losing her plans, Kirsten began writing a chapter to a fanfic she's been writing, which she tends to do a lot. Usually, she would play a Pokémon game, but lately, her mood just didn't desire such an activity. Hence, the fanfic writing. Of course, everything she writes doesn't make it onto the web, but she's happy she can at least use her imagination to insert herself into the world she dreams about: The World of Pokémon.

Droplets of rain began falling and the sky had a few dark clouds. Not enough for a storm, but a few minute shower. The rain that drizzled from the window reflected that of an eye. One hand went up to wipe the tear drop, before closing the blinds.

For reasons unknown to the girl, she had a strong desire to go outside once the weather passed. This wasn't at all a common feeling. Since she almost never leaves the insides of her own home, it was decided to act on this want while it was still within her.

Since she was lazily in PJ's, a change of outfit was needed. Kirsten decided on an outfit that highly resembled Hilbert from the Unova Region, including the hat. The weather was nice, but the temperature wasn't as welcoming. Once everything that needed to be done was done, the young adult walked out the front door, ready for a nice stroll.

As the girl walked off the porch, there was a glare a bit too bright. Moving a hand to act as an extension of the hat, a sudden smile that could almost rival that of an excited Ash Ketchum appeared on Kirsten's face. She could not believe the view that was before her.

"A DOUBLE RAINBOW!"

Despite how Kirsten lives her life, she's a very adventurous young lady. If anything, she can sometimes seem childish regarding how much she loves seeing new things and exploring the world around her. The first thing that came to mind with a view like this was Ash's first day as a Pokémon Trainer. He saw 'The Rainbow Pokémon' known as Ho-oh.

A frown almost came back when she began thinking about how her dream life will never be a reality: to go on many adventures and explore a good amount of the world. Even if there was no pandemic, it's not something that can realistically be done, due to to the cost involved.

The only reason why her expression didn't go downhill... was because of a gust of wind. Kirsten's hat blew off, which was quickly recovered... only to see a sparkling light high above the air, gliding to the other side of the rainbow. It caught the girls attention, bringing out her inner child. Without a thought, the young adult followed. As she did so, her mind began racing with images of what she considers her dream life, completely unaware of the changes of the surrounding world.
