A classic Pokemon tale with a twist that fans new and old can enjoy.] After a tragedy struck his family, Mark Canley moved to Johto with his infant son years ago, chasing down a part of his life that he never found. A protective Mark kept his son Eric from starting his Pokemon adventure at the age of 10 as most kids did. Now on his sons 12th birthday, Mark must come to terms with letting his son into the world, as well as young Eric learning to overcome the obstacles with being a Pokemon trainer. When unknown assailants threaten the peaceful region, Mark and his son get caught up in the crossfire, and need to choose whether to stand by, or intervene.

But since Zapdos willingly gave himself over to The Guy, Raichu Human's, the feared leader of Team Instinct, lightningbending still remains. The group of friends figure out what The Guy is up to next: to capture all the legendaries in the entire world. At first, he seemed unstoppable with his super powerful group of pokemon under his total control, but the friends soon realize that a mysterious plant called the blooberry could reverse the effects of the GMO razzberries, the source of all The Guy's power. They soon realize that The Guy, whose real name had been revealed to be Ash Ketchup, was also after the blooberry so he could capture the legendary Mew. Will the heirs find the cure before Ash does?
