Martin wake up Honey! Wake up!

"Fuck, why so early mama?"

Shut up and you have to leave this house!.

Her words felt like a arrow piercing through me,

Why would she want me to leave? I don't understand.

"Mama! Why!?"

Then I heard a gunshot out in the distance,

And a few police cars passed by in full speed but doesn't seem like they're chasing anyone, Im scared because the fact something is wrong and it could be worse than I can imagine.

Mama hands me a backpack with some supplies in it, she sits there in her leather office chair with tears running down her face, I get worried because I had never seen her like this before and it almost makes me want to cry myself.....she got up and walked to the living room, she came out with a fist and I was curious why but she told me, "open your hand mijo"

She had dropped car keys and a piece of paper on my hand, I stared at the the items she handed me for a while then I look upon her, she gives me  fainting smile with tears hanging from her lip, this isnt my mama! What the fuck is going on, I could only guess but then I'd just be pressuring myself, I tried to show mama I wasn't scared but really deep down in my heart I was crying and praying for help.

As I looked at my mama from the car, she is just standing at the door step giving me another fainting smile that pretty much broke my heart, she gave me directions to my Fathers house on a piece of paper......I'll do it for mama.

The trip there isn't so long and so bad really but I keep hearing these giant blades bashing in the sky, and the sky looked awfully orange which shouldn't be, smoke clouds were larger and the sirens got louder with every mile I come across.

The girl from school, she's running for no apparent reason, I'm going to drive up to her and ask some questions and maybe ask her if she wants a ride.

"Hey, what's going on around here?"

Let me get in your car please.

Well that was awfully quick.

"Uh, ya sure come in."

Thanks, I can't believe we're screwed already!

"What do you mean?"

Didn't you find out what was going on?

"No not really, can you tell me what's going on girl?"

We're at war, literally the army came in to defend and half of them are down!

From what she just told me I don't think I have the strength to reply to that, am I really going to die?...what's going to happen to us?...why are we being attacked and where can we dwell to survive?.... I guess all these questions could be answered by my father.

Pull the car over to the drive way, ahead of us was a Element designed garage, and the house looked fantastic so no way this could be my Fathers house...the grass was cut perfectly and not one speck of dirt was seen on this white clear driveway, I walk over to the door and I ring the doorbell, I soon wait there patiently, then that girl yelled "who are you looking for?" I told her this house belongs to my father suddenly a creaking sound appears behind me, I turn quickly and seeing that the door is being opened.

Mr.Hernandez what are you doing here?..

"Your my dad....."

The old goat finally told you huh.

What he said filled me with rage, so I strike him in the throat, he drops to the ground trying to regain his strength.

"She is no fucking goat! And you left me and mom in a struggle for seven fucking years you piece of shit!"

He had no response but only a saddened look on his face, he finally got up and asked us to come inside, he gave us sheets and a room to sleep in...I kinda feel bad for what I did  but I believe he deserved it, me and the girl put the sheets around our beds, besides her bed is across from mine so I could protect her from any threat at any moment, we got bored so we had a boring conversation.

Hey what's your name?

"My name is Martin, Martin Hernandez, and your name?"

Catalina.

"Lovely name, that's my mothers name"

Ooh see doesn't that make it special.

"Haha yeah"

Call me cat for short,meow.

"Sure thing girl"

She had already passed out before I did, all I could think about right now is my mama and hoping she is safe, I have to find sanctuary because this place isn't going to protect me from the attacking soldiers, but I need some sleep because my vision is becoming dim so I lay my head down on this horribly thick pillow and close my eyes and wait for what's coming tomorrow.
