If you already know who I am and my story, you can probably skip this. But if this is your first time watching me, then you don't know who I am or how I ended up at California's biggest female juvenile detention center for category 5 criminals, Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility. You probably saw a pretty girl behind bars in the thumbnail and think this is one of those "locked in a room for 24 hours" type of videos. This place is for girls who have committed or attempted murder, armed robbery, gang-related crimes, or are repeat offenders.

I am Moonlight Monroe. I'm 16 years old, and this is my fifth time here at Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility.

"At the age of 12, Moonlight was arrested for conspiracy to commit money laundering, possession of marijuana, cocaine, and an assortment of pills. She was sent to Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility to complete a six-month program. At 13, she was arrested for public intoxication near West Hollywood, a runaway charge, and possession of methamphetamine. At the time, the judge gave her seven months since it was her first runaway charge and believed that after the program, she hadn't reintegrated well into society. At 14, she violated parole due to a failed drug test and running away from home. She was given two months, but due to behavioral problems, her sentence was extended to five months. At 15, she was involved in a fight that resulted in the victim being sent to the hospital with a cracked skull, leaving them unresponsive and in a coma. The judge sentenced her to a year at the facility. And once again, Monroe was sent back for parole violations, failing a drug test, and running away. Her test results showed evidence of marijuana, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and acid."
