𝐒𝐄𝐏•𝐓𝐄𝐌•𝐁𝐄𝐑, 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟓 𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭
"Where did you disappear to on Friday?" Laya asked remembering that she just disappeared at the party as they walked to class the Monday after the wild weekend party
"I got drunk and went home with a friend." She lied feeling weird about the whole weekend
"Friend?" Laya asked with a smirk
"A girl she's in one of my classes." She continued to lie hoping she'd let it go
"Oh okay," Laya said with a shrug
"Dejah!" Shaniyah called when she spotted her friend in the breakfast line but the girl just shook her head turning away from them
"Are you gonna go over there?" Laya asked feeling weird about the whole incident that occurred the other night, she didn't hate the girl but was scared of her
"Yeah, I've got to go, see you later." She said rushing off to go try to talk to Dejah.
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬
"Are you mad at me?" I asked Dejah as she ate her bagel in silence
"I'm not mad I'm disappointed." She started "But I didn't do anything." I interrupted
"As I was saying I'm disappointed because you've seen how much I've struggled with accepting myself and your little sister is dark-skinned shit you could be white as a human being you should know that it's disgusting to judge someone because of their skin colour." She said her voice cracking
"I understand but I didn't say anything."
"That's the issue Shaniyah you didn't say anything and then acted like I was the monster." She said before cleaning up her mess and leaving
𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐚 : " 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐩?" 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡 : " 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞."
I grabbed my bag and walked towards C block to leave through the back exit. I felt bad but what could I do? She felt how she felt and I couldn't change her mind no matter how much I pled my point.
