When the body hit the ground, the man with the rifle felt his heart sink. He'd ran over as fast as he could and stared at the body. A lanky towering man who'd looked like he'd been attacked was sprawled across the ground. Blood and everything from his skull painted the ground beneath him.

He'd at first felt guilty- a wash of regret and fear washing over his body. That was before police had gotten involved.

The news had exploded once the case hit the scene.

Famous southern radio host, Alastor of New Orleans, was outed as the cannibal of Louisiana. He had even reported on the deaths multiple times on his show- yet no one batted an eye.

There was outrage. He had killed at least a dozen men, including the fatal attack earlier the morning of his own death- reports saying he had cannibalized multiple victims after raiding the radio host's home and finding human remains. Officials had said it was a miracle they were able to connect him to any of the cases at all- in fact the only connection that had put all of them together was the method of death and partial remains being found around New Orleans.

The hunter, who wished to remain anonymous, said he had mistaken the man for a white tailed buck. He had been standing by the trees and was shrouded by everything that covered his body. Authorities recommend that he not go hunting for large game anymore as they do not want to risk another incident of mistaken identity.

Alastor's body was covered in wounds from his victim fending him off as well as the three dogs that sealed his fate. The owner and his dog that had been fatally stabbed by Alastor are going to be buried together in a private ceremony.
