"Okay, so we've got eight Super Soldiers on a bulk supply run. Why?"

Though their every movement had been dulled with begrudgement, the trio had accepted the offer of John Walker at last; joining him and Lamar within the back of the army vehicle. The blessing of space had not been with them upon that day, leaving the three to narrowly squish onto the small bench on one side of the truck, condemning them to the discomfort of one another's body parts jabbing into their sides.

"They say their mission is to get things back to the way it was during The Blip," his eyes scanning between the pair sat opposite him, along with Ella, Sam informs them of what he knows. "Maybe they're just trying to help."

His voice bland, Bucky mutters, "They've got a funny way of showing it."

"That serum doesn't exactly have a great track record." John's eyes then flicker toward Bucky, adding, "No offence."

Droplets of venom already dripping from his stony gaze, Bucky's eyes narrow into a slither — his unmoving stare finding a home upon the man. Sam, whose demeanour is kept purposefully more professional than his 'partner's', responds, "We need to figure out where they're going. How'd you track 'em' here? The Flag Smashers?"

"They didn't track them," Before either soldier can offer their answer, Ella intervenes. An edge of annoyance daring to echo within her tone, she shifts her eyes to Sam. "They tracked you."

"Through, uh... Through Redwing," Lemar elaborates, awkwardly scratching at the hind of his neck.

"You hacked my tech?"

"Sorry. It's not exactly hacking. It's government property." With a chuckle that makes Ella's skin crawl with subdued frustration, John gestures to himself — as though it were obvious. "Kind of the government."

"It's Stark technology," For but one, lonesome moment of flaw, Ella's composure trembles; words slipping by from her tongue before she can pull them back. A slither of the brewing frustration within her erupts within her eyes as she turns them upon John, and a sharpness echoes with her words. "It doesn't belong to you."

Her momentary outburst only adds fuel to John's fire; the arrogance within his grin unfurling like wildfire. "Your brother may have made it, but it's under our jurisdiction now, sweetheart."

A distant glaze of affliction dawns upon Ella's eyes for a harrowing second, before she rids herself of any portrayal of it. Her jaw tics, yet, much to the surprise of Sam, she withholds any further comments from spewing past her lips — silently casting her now absent stare astray. Taken aback by her lack of remark, Sam arches an unsure brow, asking her directly, "You just let him talk to you like that?"
