Chapter 5

You head to school in the blazing heat. Today it was so hot you could probably bake cookies outside on the pavement.
You reach the bus station and the bus pulls up. Your drenched and everyone else in that bus is too. The bus took about a 5 min drive to the school. When you reached the school you hop out and almost face plant if it weren't for hawks.
"Lord have mercy. I can't live like this anymore." You pant.
You look up to see hawks sweating gallons.
"We should head inside before we roast" hawks says starting to pull you.
He mostly dragged you there but when you got inside the cool relief of AC hit your faces and it felt like you were in heaven.
"Thank the lord the school has an AC" you say picking yourself up.
"Oh shit Ima be late for my class if I don't leave. See you later y/n" hawks says jogging to his class.

You head to the showers to get washed up because your first class got canceled. You wash off and you change into a clean uniform and eat a quick breakfast.
You then head to your first class.
"Hey Y/n." A voice chirps.
You turn to see izuku sitting at a desk next to yours.
"Hey" you say back sliding down into your seat.
"When did you get into this class" you question getting your books out.
"Well one of the kids that use to be here got in trouble for something and had to be moved to a new class; so I took his spot."
He chimed.
"Oh cool at least there someone I know now."
Then the bell rings and your teacher walks in.
"Good morning class today we will be learning how to make the most perfect brownies." Your teachers says looking up.
"yess" you think to yourself at least we finally get to cook. (This is home ec.)

Class was short because of the fun you had.

you left and went to go to your next class. it was go to class, do class, the leave for your next over and over again. when it got to your last class you sat and dreaded the thought of going back home in that heat.
"Hey Y/n" hawks called as you left your last class.
"Hey" you called back striding up to him.
"You have anything planned for this evening" he questioned.
"No. Why?" You responded.
"Oh well I heard some kids talking in the hall about a secret pool party"
"Where though" you asked.
"Well at the school's swimming pool. Supposedly no one goes there but the swim team, so they felt bad that no one gets to cool down so they invited a ton of kids to go swimming this evening." He said with a big smile.
"WAIT REALLY"
"Yup and I'm going and now your going so ya" he called Turing to run to the bus stop.
"See ya" you call back before heading to your bus stop.

You get home and you sit on the couch. The day tired you out and you fell asleep. By the time you wake up it's 5:00 pm. The sun is starting to set and you look at your phone.
20 miss called from Bird boy🐦. Shows across your screen.
Wth you think to yourself. You call him back and the the loud sounds from the other side make you jump.
"Y/N, where are you the party has started."
"SHIT I FORGOT OMG I WILL GO GET READY!" You say hanging up and rushing to your room to change.
You pull out a bathing suit with a navy blue top with white bottoms and you put it on. You grab a loose shawl thing and walk downstairs to grab your purse and put your keys in.
You drive up to the school and you enter. The dark school gave off creepy vibes. You walk to the very back of the school where you exit out into a court yard where the gym and pool building are. You take the path to the pool building letting the school door slam behind you.
You strode across over to the front doors. You could see lights and hear music from the outside. You take a deep breath and open the doors. The music hits you like a truck. You step in and are greeted by tons of talking.
"There she is" hawks says giving you a hug.
You hug back and pull apart.
"Hey" you say back.
"Have you been swimming"
"Ya but right now there having a swim competition. You should join your a pretty fast swimmer!"
"No no I'm fine" you say shifting to the other leg.
"Nope your doing it your gonna go kick some teenage ass!" He says grabbing your arm and pulling you up to the place where you start the races.
"do we have a new competitor" the the tall blonde scoffs.
Monoma was a dick and everyone knew it. He was popular among the ladies but all the guys hated him. He was a huge prick so when he looked down on you you just glared back at him. Something clicked and you knew you had to beat him.
"Ya I am going to join" you huff back going to set your stuff down.
The only thing that bugged you was monoma was in the swim team and the thought of losing to him made your blood boil.
About 5 minutes passed and they called all of the swimmers to come wait in a line. They announce the rules.
( it's like pick up if you know what that is. Two people will race the winner will go again and again until they win or they lose.)
There was two pools so four people lined up on either pool. You were third in line so you had to wait. The person counted.
"THREE, TWO, ONE, GO!!!" They talked as the swimmers took off. This happened two times and a row. Then You were up; you swallowed hard as you got into position. The person said go and you took to the water gliding like a fish. You didn't think about where you were at you just keep your eyes closed and swam. You hands hit the wall and you flip and head the opposite direction. You kept pushing yourself until you hit the wall again. You look up and you won. The crowd was cheering for you. Hawks helped you up and congratulated you. You where panting as the water ran off your soles body. He handed you a towel and said that there gonna give us a break for the next round.
After that you beat everyone until you and the last person were up. It was monoma; You tried to swallow but it felt as if you were swallowing a rock. The pressure was on and you were gonna give up.
"Good luck" he snarled at you.
"Sure right back at you" you cooed back.
He put on a stupid face as he turned to look back at the water. The person counted down and you two were off. It felt as if there was fire in your lungs as you pushed yourself harder and harder. You hit the first wall and flip. The your arms slowly giving out the closer you get to the wall. The hit the wall gasping for air. The won the whole crowd cheered. You look over to see monoma scowling. You only beat him by a hair but it still felt nice to win. Monoma climes out of the pool and offers you a hand.
"Not to bad for a newby" he said pulling you out.
"Your not to bad yourself" you say back after someone hands you both towels.
You part and when you turn your face to face with another blond.
"Denki don't do that. You gave me a heart attack" you say clutching the towel.
You have known him sense middle school.
"You looked pretty good out there" he said with a little blush.
"Thanks"
"I was wondering if you....um...would like to go out"
You froze, no one has asked you out for a very long time. The voices in your heart said no but your head said yes. You needed to be more active so you agreed to go out.
"Ya, thank you Y/n. You won't regret this." He called walking away.
You say your good byes and leave. When you get to the front of the school you look up. The sky was clear so you sat down on a bench for a while. Your legs shook from the weakness of your body and the after effects hit. You started to doze off and the last thing you remember was falling asleep.

You wake up to the warm embrace of your bed. You sit up stretching. Your hair felt all gross from last night. I must forgot to take a shower last night. You stand and the aches and and sores hit you. You slowly make your way to the shower.
Undress step in and run your water. The water was warm and it felt nice on your back. You started washing your hair when the realization hit you. The last thing you remember from last night was you falling asleep on the bench. Your now home and showering. The fear hit you as you think "who brought you home?"

Hahahaha cliffhanger. Um ya were almost at 1k reads. Thank you for the support and I'm so sorry I didn't get this out sooner but please bear with me. It's the last few weeks of school and I'm not trying to fail.
