Behind the Scenes

Chapter one

It was in the morning when it all started. Lola got ready to go to school and meet her friends. The class watched a video of children dancing but nobody cared accept, Lola was amazed. That afternoon, when she was walking home, was when she got the idea of starting a dance class. So as soon as she got home she asked her parents. "What are you thinking!" her dad shouted. "I just wanted to have an experience." Lola whispered."Well no."her dad continued. "Never,never,never you are insane, now go it your room and do something useful for once!" Lola ran to her room and buried herself in her bed. The next morning, Lola was sulking the whole day at school. Her friends tried everything to cheer her up but nothing worked. Lola kept on thinking back of what her dad had said the other day and didn't know what she had done wrong. Why did her dad not want to have a dance experience? As soon as she got home she decided that she would call her friend, Emily, and ask if she had any advise. Emily was Lola's best friend and they had always trusted each other. Lola picked her phone and called her. "Hello."she said through the line quietly. "Hey !" replied Emily confidently. "I just wondered if you had any advise that I could use to get into a dance class, my parents don't want me to but I am going to ask again but this time I need your help." explained Lola "Sure" exclaimed Emily. They stayed on the phone for about 15 minutes and when they had finished, Lola took a deep breath and went to see her dad. He was in a better mood now, but that didn't mean anything. "Dad." Lola said in a worried voice, "What I said yesterday, about starting a dance class, it would be my dream." Lola's dad slammed his hand on the table and gave her a nasty look. "I'm not going to go through this again, no is no, ok." "Ok dad." and then she went back to her room. Lola had tried what Emily had told her, to be more confident and trust in herself more but that didn't work, nothing would, Lola wanted to give up but she wouldn't. She know her parent wouldn't let her but there was a plan B.
