Yvaine could not believe that she was heading to the highlands on her own accord, she even had to lie to mother that she left her scarf back at the mansion's kitchen. The highlands was just as she remembered prestige but fairly overrated,
- oh my Lord, I don't have a pass thought Yvaine as she remembered that although she could get pass the highlands gates she wouldn't be let in into the mansion without a pass or the knowledge of the guards.
Jumping gates was out of the question, even if she was able to get through the guards and up the walls, the fall down could be to her detriment.
"Oh well-" she muttered rerouting her journey towards the main town to explore for a bit before she headed back to the lowlands."Pearly beads for sale !!!" Yelled an old man who seemed to have come from the highlands to sell his goods.
" you prudent man... I demand my change this instant" a noble woman screamed towards the sales man.
" ma'am it's says here there will be no refunds". he seemed to be on his last thread of patience but he knew better than to lose his patience when in discussion with a noble if he wanted his head where it belonged.
Yvaine shook her head, the trying her best to navigate the crowd without bumping into someone - worst a rude noble." Ma'am this silk is made pretty for damsels like you" a young man says as he brings the material towards Yvaine as if trying to fit it to her being
"Well... does it come free for low life's like" Yvaine said taking a fist full of her skirt and twirling it in a mocking way
" you miserly fellow" he replied gathering his eyebrows and drawing his lips into a wrinkled form of unhappiness.
"Well that makes two of us" Yvaine said blowing him a kiss and retreating from his still stretched hands which held the silks
Yvaine spotted a bar up front and chose to settle there for a bottle of wine, she was only 17 year , only missing the legal age with a year. The bartender would have to be lenient, or so she hoped.
"No!!"
"I'll be 18 in a few months" Yvaine pleaded" well come back when you turn 18"
"But I'm dying of thirst""Here" the bartender said returning with a glass of water "this should do the trick" he confused retreating into the stall behind the counter and only coming out to serve those he considered of age.
"Arghh, so much for being 17" Yvaine said seeping her cup of water slowly
"Hey sexy !"
Who was this disgusting excuse for mankind Yvaine thought
She looked up to see two old rugged noble men who seemed to be in their 50's.
Yvaine ignored their advances hoping they'd leave her alone"She's playing dumb" the second said while they both laughed.
"I'm speaking to you, you filthy low life" the first said grabbing onto Yvaine's hair into his fist
Yvaine was starting to panic, although the bar wasn't empty she doubted anyone would dare stand up to the noblemen.
Yvaine grabbed onto her glass cup tightly while wincing in pain"I don't think it is legal for you to be here" a strange voice said to Yvaine taking a sit next to her
"More so a reason why she deserves to be punished" said the second nudging the first with his shoulders playful
