Yvaine had dropped off the wheat she had harvested from the field on the counter near the big industrial blender that seemed to be implanted into the cement floor, after she had helped set a few more things up she called off from work.
She decided it was time to leave the mansion before the dawn of day met with her. On her way to the main gate she had an urge to explore the mansion, after all she wouldn't get this opportunity because this would be her last journey to the upper-town.she wandered towards the field she had once been immersed in, the place were the old lady had lead her from, she walked past the shed that held tall and extravagant carriages and automobile - she had never seen such like it, she spotted a wall that seemed to feeble to protect itself and the mystery that laid behind it , she bent down letting her self in through a whole that had been indented into the wall and jumped over the little block that had been laying carelessly at the other side of the wall.
The scenery was magnificent, the land had grand tress whose leaves had turned orange causing the blue sky to look even more striking in its splendor , the sun shown through the nest of leaves creating a pattern with the its rays, the landscape seemed to be an abode for the pretty birds that flew around its atmosphere, humming and singing hymns as if to proclaim the beauty of the scenery. Yvaine awed as she walked down towards a stream that divided the land into different paths. she laid on a stone that seemed to lay perfectly next to the stream. Oh how nice she thought. The beauty she had experienced all her life in the lower-town could not compare to that of the mansion in upper- town. she closed her eyes to take in the splendor and feeling of this scene. she let hair brunette hair lose, as if to allow it experience the air the clung to the naked part of her skin, she let her hand kiss lightly against the waters, she let her whole being take in the beauty, a beauty much cursed , a beauty she could only experience for the last time before she awakened to her nightmares in the lower-town. this was my only chance, my only to experience the edge of sanity she thought. just this once.
clank clank clank clank !!!
Yvaine sneezed her eyes tight. ... no, not now, one more minute. she resumed the trance she had subjected herself to
clank clank clank clank !!!
The noise didn't stop, no! she thought shutting the gates to her sight even tighter
clank clank clank clank !!!
I guess reality had to resume its task, a reality that constantly reminded her of her fate, she stood up from the stone she had once found comfort on, tracing the sound of the noise.
"sire we should really get back"
Yvaine had found the interruption, she hid behind a tree that seemed promising enough
the man that spoke had a irregular shadow, one that couldn't have come from a human form, Yvaine stretched forward a little more and his shadow made sense at last, the shadow of the tree had distorted his shadow, he faced the subject he was talking to so Yvaine could only identify his stature and not his face but her she sensed that he was around her age or few years older.
" calm down Ulric.. its only dawn" a voice that seemed to come from another man whose stature had not yet been revealed
clank clank clank!!
what in oaks name was that noise Yvaine thought to her self
" But ...but ..sire ...your father....he said" the man who seemed to be a servant to the other man replied
" you know what Ulric .... I say take a chill pill...here ...have a go"
"you know what happened the last time ....im not really good" the servant seemed to sound really reluctant.. what could have happened then thought Yvaine as she continued to listen in on the two men
"yeah...I wasn't good in philosophy but you know I got better" the sire replied
" no sir you didnt .... you only got one question right" Yvaine noticed that this time the servant voice held a bit of mockery and unbelief at the same time
"but yeah ...it make the difference "
"the only question I told you the answer to" he held the same tone he had previously and this made Yvaine chuckle a little - he couldn't be that dumb she said internally
" well..at least you get where Im coming from"
"okay if you say so"
Yvaine took a little step outside the cover she had made for herself ready to reveal her hideout
"ouch !!" yelled Yvaine, what was that , and why did it hurt so much
