Chapter 40

Three weeks later

Mr. Styles' P.O.V.

I rocked Elena back and forth as she sat cuddled in my arms. She's been a bit clingy since she got back but I don't blame her. I've been trying to make sure she's comfortable and just doing everything I can for her.

I took off work for a few days and decided to say in my house in New York with the other guys just to get a change in scenery.

"Daddy" Elena said gently poking my stomach. She started calling me that more frequently since she came back. I didn't really stress over correcting her and now I guess it's her thing.

I smiled and hummed a response.

She reached up and fumbled with my chain around my neck. "C-Can I have gummies? A-And then we... um can we play makeovers after?" I nodded gently placing a kiss on her forehead. "Of course we can my love. How about I get you a new diaper first?" I patted her bum. "This one seems a bit full."

Ever since Elena came back from being with Gregory, she has been a bit.... different? She no longer knows how to use the toilet on her own so she often wets herself. That's why I just make sure she has on her diapers every day. She has been sleeping with me in my bed these past couple of weeks as well. For about three nights straight she had nightmares and it was hard for her to actually get a good nights sleep. So I allowed her to stay with me and that seemed to help her a lot.

I lifted her onto my hip and carried her into my room. I try to keep all her stuff like diapers and pajamas together in one room.

It didn't take long for me to change her because I've actually gotten a lot better at it.

On the way out, she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the kitchen. "D-Daddy... Lou promised that we can all play makeovers together... and-and I want the Spongebob gummies today..."

I raised an eyebrow. "I didn't hear a 'please' on the end of that my dear..."

She pouted and made grabby hands at me. "Please daddy may I have Spongebob gummies..." I chuckled and lifted her onto my hip. "Anything for my sweet girl."

Elena's P.O.V.

I like spending time with daddy. He makes me so happy and he gives me lots of cuddles all the time.

Daddy placed me on the kitchen counter and handed me my gummies. "Okay baby," he said. "This is the last fruit snack that I am giving you for the day because you have been snackish all day and it's just too much sugar. Plus I don't want this to ruin your appetite for supper."

I pouted. I like eating snacks, they're yummy.

I stuff a few gummies into my mouth. "Daddy you have a gummy.." He quickly shook his head and pecks my lips. "Baby you know I don't eat candy."

"Elena?"

I turned seeing Lou enter the kitchen with a big smile on his face. "Come on Ellie let's go! Makeover time! Liam got me some new stuff and I got a pink glitter top for you to try!" He grabbed my hand and helped me to get down from the counter. I almost fell as he yanked me towards him.

"Wait.. wait Lou.." I reached over and grabbed daddy's hand. "D-Daddy... you come too right.." He smiled and nodded his head. "Of course sweetheart. Why don't you go with Louis and then I'll be up there in a few minutes, okay?"

I pouted. I don't like being away from him. I just feel so scared when I don't see him around and I just can't...

"Baby..." daddy said as he crouched down to my level. "Everything is going to be alright. Lou is going to take care of you. Daddy just has to make a couple of phone calls really quickly for work."

A lump formed in my throat and I just couldn't help but cry.

"No.. no my sweet girl please don't cry. Okay okay.. I'll come with you." He lifted me onto his hip and kissed my cheek. "I'm here, love. No need to cry." He grabbed Louis' hand and led us up to the playroom.

Okay but Mr. Styles' soft side is adorable...

I think he handles Elena really well... anyone else agree?
