You walked calmly to the cliff edge, you sat down. If someone were to push you you'd fall to your death. You hated that you were alive, "why did I get to be the one to live" you sighed. "I'm useless anyways and just a burden, having to be treated like that" you threw a rock down the cliff before heading it thud and break. "Hey y/n" you turned around to see Armin. "Oh it's you...hi Armin" you said throwing another rock. He pulled you back from the cliff a little and sat down next to you. "Have you been crying?" He said taking his hand and wiping tears off your cheek. "No" you said sniffling and throwing another rock. "You can't lie to me y/n I know you too well" he said pulling you into him. You let your arms go limp and him hold you. You started crying again. He rubbed your back.

After a bit you sat up. He held your head in his hands and shushed you so you'd calm down. "It's my mother" you said through short breaths. "They found her dead" Armin looked at you with a forgiving face. "And I don't think I deserve to be here right now" "y/n!" You started crying a little more as he said that. "Y/n you deserve to be here, I mean you survived all that happen and" you cut him off. "Yeah but the others didn't live, so why did I get too" "because the world is cruel" Mikasa said as she came up from behind. You placed her hand on your back and you could feel her warm hand...it felt like your mothers. "Y/n I lost my mother too, I watched her die. I miss her too. My mother had a warm smile and soft touch. I wish nothing more than to have her hold me again" "I'm sorry that happen Mikasa" you said. Mikasa sat down next to you. "It's okay I've moved on, it's not as bad as what happen with you I'm sure" "mines nothing I'm fine. You said wiping tears.

After a bit of watching the sun rise together Mikasa got up and left without a word. You just sat there with Armin for a long while. He held you making sure you never got too close to the edge. He was the sweetest person you had ever met. Although he didn't ask if you were alright he made sure you were through actions, that's why you loved him. He never once made you feel unwanted or unloved or a burden. After a bit Mikasa came back with a bowl of warm chicken stalk, bread and a granola bar. "Here is breakfast for you both, please eat." Armin nodded his head as to tell Mikasa thank you and they needed alone time.

Armin picked the bread piece up and broke it in half. He ripped small pieces off as he dipped it in the chicken stalk and fed you. You were too weak, not because you were physically weak, you just were so shocked and upset you couldn't move. Armin continued feeding you. Until your bread was gone, then Armin ate his. Then he gave you your granola bar which you ate while he ate his, then he drank a little of the chicken stalk before holding it up to your mouth to let you drink some. It was warm, going down your throat easily it warmed your stomach.

Armin finally stood up, picking you up with him. He held your hand as you two walked back to the head quarters. Your eyes were so puffy and you needed sleep badly. Luckily Hange said you could take the next three days off to collect yourself. When you got back every else was out on duty. Armin luckily got a bit of time since he was helping you. Hange let him slide. You got into the bed and Armin helped take your belts and gear off, he hung your coat up and then pulled the blanket over you. He gave you a small kiss on the cheek. "I love you" you heard him whisper, those words warmed your heart. Then he walked off for training. You fell to sleep quick. Your dreams were filled of moments with your mother which made you happy and sad at the same time.
