An unforgiving truth

"(Y/n) wake up right now." You could hear someone telling you to wake up, you weren't having a bad dream though? So why wake up. You sat up to see Levi and Hange. "What are you two doing here so early?" "We need you to come with us" "why "important business so get up and meet me in the office in 10 minutes." You sighed and got up, Armin, Eren, Mikasa, and Sasha were all still asleep. It was still dark out so you figured it wasn't even 6am yet. Nonetheless you walked out to the office.

"Sit down" said Levi and he held his cup of tea. You sat down in the chair next to Hange. "Are you ready to hear this?" She said with a sigh. "Well depends on how bad it is." Levi looked up from his tea "it's pretty bad, Erwin found it but he couldn't give you the news" "I see...well I guess tell me." You took a deep sigh in. "Well" Hange started. "We found your mother and also-" you cut her off. "WHAT!" You started panicking. "No that's insane she...she's been gone for years I have no idea what happen to her." Hange grabbed your hand and continued. "Don't get excited...she's dead hon" shock appeared on your face and silent tears started to form. You dipped your head low and clenched hanges hand. Even Levi seemed to have a sorrow expression.

" y/n do you have any idea how she may have died? Before I tell you." You started talking through sniffles. "Well I know she gave birth over and over, she didn't really get cut up like us and she got fed well so the baby could be born...I'm assuming she died from complications" "mhm" Hange said as she shook her head. "Her body was preserved in a casket, along with a knife, and a dead baby." You looked up at Hange, you barely could speak. You saw Levi come sit next to you too. Your mouth was open, red puffy eyes, tear stained cheeks. Your mother was the only person to ever give you hope

You remember coming home with your sister Sophie and brother Alex. You had gone out for firewood. Your mother was in the kitchen cooking a nice hot potato stew, with a side of apple wood fire bacon. You had never had bacon before but it was your birthday and she manage to get some. She warmly smiled as you and your siblings walked through the door greeting you all with a hug. Her hands were soft and warm when she rubbed your back. She always made sure all of you ate plenty of food and came back before dark. You thought to yourself how cruel someone could be to do that to a women let alone their own family. You resented your father.

"Do you have any information on my father?" Hange looked surprised and pushed her glasses up. "We do actually, Levi would you like to say it?" Levi sighed and set his tea down. "Your father was captured by the MP's but they didn't get anything out of him as he killed himself in the jail. He had bleached his hands, cut his hair, and drank poison before he got there. He knew he would be captured and knew he wasn't going to say anything." "That bastard" you whispered. "At least we got information on your lol." He said. "I'm sorry it had to end this way y/n, I can't imagine how hard it's been for you" "thank you Hange" you said. With that you silently got up and left. Hange and Levi watched you leave.
