Hunter's POV
We headed up to Destiny’s room and she ran into the bathroom. I left to go into my own room to find my films. I pulled out some that she might like and some movies that I would choose. I went back to her room just as she came out of the bathroom in a pair of shorts and a tank top.
“What film do you want to watch, I have The Hunger Games, Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Frozen, R.E.D, White House Down and The Avengers?”
“Um… The Avengers?”
“Okay”
We sat down on her bed after I put the disk in and settled down to watch. Destiny snuggled into my side and jumped a few times but she fell asleep at the part were Loki escapes.
‘She looks so sweet when she is asleep’
‘Aww Fang that is the first non-sexual thought you have had of our mate’ I mentally laughed.
‘I wouldn’t be as bad if you just marked her already’
‘I don’t want to rush her into anything’
I pulled off my shirt and trousers and slid into bed next to my sweet little mate. She instantly wrapped her arms around me and snuggled into my chest. I grabbed the remote, put the TV on sleep and closed my eyes. I fell asleep to the sound of the final battle scene of the movie.
Destiny's POV
I woke up in the familiar feeling of Hunter’s arms the following morning and looked up to find him already awake gazing down at me with emotion filled eyes. I glanced over at the clock on the nightstand, 9:37AM. I groaned and rolled over to look back at Hunter.
“Morning beautiful” he said suppressing a laugh
“Morning” I returned with a playful glare.
We laid there for a while just cuddling in a comfortable silence until Hunter got up and said
“I have to go on patrol with Alex, Luke and a few other due to the rouge attacks yesterday.”
“Okay, when will you be back?”
“Lunch time.” With that he walked to the closet and pulled out a plain white t-shirt and a pair of plain jeans. The shirt was kind of tight which extenuated his muscles perfectly. After Hunter left I went for a shower and got changed into my white dress to go find Charlie.
“Hey, Destiny” Alex said as I passed him on the way to Charlie’s room
“Hey, is Charlie in her room?”
“Yeah, I think so”
“Thanks Alex”
I kept walking down until I got into her corridor. I was just about to get to her room when the door to the room next to hers was torn out of the frame. Out came no other than Sadie, as I have come to know, the pack slut. She barged past me giving me the death glare. If looks could kill I’d be 6 foot under.
“Stay away from Hunter, He’s mine!” she growled
“Excuse me? I think you’ll find he is my mate not yours.”
“You bitch! He was mine before he even saw you so back off!” she punctuated her little rant with a harsh slap in the face with so much force it caused me to fall to the ground with a rather loud thump.
“DON’T YOU EVER LET ME CATCH YOU DISRESPECTING OR HARMING YOUR LUNA LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN OR YOU WILL BE OUT OF THIS PACK BEFORE I EVEN BLINK!!” Hunter hadn’t left for his patrol yet and he caught Sadie’s little show. Sadie turned and bolted down the corridor as fast as she could and turned the corner.
“Are you okay?” he said helping me off the floor
“I think so, what did she mean you were hers?”
“Nothing, she thinks we are a thing but what she doesn’t realize is that she repulses me to the extent of throwing up”
“Oh”
‘She makes me want to vomit as well’ Faith added in venom laced in her voice ‘no one tries to take our mate away from us’
‘Calm down, she doesn’t stand a chance’
‘I still hate her’
‘So do I, don’t worry’
“Argument with your wolf?” he guessed
“More like an agreement” I replied rather smugly
“Oookkkaaayyy”
“I thought you had patrol.” I wondered
“My dad took over because I wanted to spend some time with you”
Total Aww moment. How did I get so lucky? Hunter was the sweetest guy in the world and I loved him, I just didn’t know how to tell him yet.
