Chapter 8 part 5

I wake up at a decent hour, 6am to be exact. I get up and put on a tank top as well as shorts and sneakers for my early morning jog.
"Mom I'm going for a jog be back in an hour!" I yell as I walk out the door and start down the street. On my way I decide to go into the forest even though I might fall and die for all I know, I dodge trees left and right and the eventually I get to my pond. Well technically it's not my pond but know one else comes here and I'm the only one who knows about it. The pond has a giant waterfall that goes over sharp stones then into the crystal clear water. there was thriving plant life all around as well as some animals here and there. I can't help but feel like I'm connected to this place like in some magical way, I'm not crazy i just I don't know. I was ripped out of my thoughts by my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I ask the caller because I didn't check who it was.
"Katherine where are you its 8:30!?! You have Been gone for 2 hours!!" My mom yells through the other line.
"Ok, ok I'm on my way I lost track of time sorry" I say back to my mom.
"Good 'cause today is the Elevent and you need to get ready!" My mom says then hangs up the phone. I Get up from the rock I was sitting on then dip my hands into the water to take a sip before I leave. Every Time I took a sip from this pond I always felt so energized afterwards. I start at a steady jog but then I feel the sudden urge to just bolt. I go into a full sprint in the middle of a forest surprisingly not tripping or hitting any branches. Once I get to the sidewalk I decide to slow down into a steady jog again when I see someone that made my heart stop. this girl was gorgeous, prettier than anyone I have ever seen, her hair was fire truck red obviously dyed but still silky looking. She was wearing a muscle tank that had a lighting bolt on it and a black bandeau under it, she was also wearing a pair of black and white running shorts and black sneakers. Her Ariel like hair was in a high pony tail and it was waving back in forth as she ran. She was gorgeous but I can think that my mom says it's not right to like your gender it's not 'natural' and I want my grandchildren to not be adopted. That's why I dated Eddie I was hoping It would get rid of the love I had for girls, but it didn't, she was gorgeous and I wanted to make her mine. I continue running then purposely fall in front of her cause I have no other way of talking to her, well I may have but whatever.
"Oh hey are you alright?" She says extending a hand out for me.
"Yeah, I'm good thanks though" I say a little shaky as I grab her hand and she helps me up.
"Hi, I'm Cadance and you are?" She asks
"Oh, I'm Katherine but all my friends call me Kat" I tell her rubbing the back of my neck cause I'm nervous.
"Oh ok well I guess I'll catch you later, Bye Kat!" She yells as she starts back up the street. I totally blew it, she probably thinks I'm just a clumsy, stupid kid. I sigh then start up the street till I reach my house.

After my Shower I get out and blow dry my hair and put it up in a bun so I can do my makeup. I Put some gold and bronze colors on my lid then some blue on my bottom lid, I put on my favorite mascara and some eyeliner then put on a little blush. I take down my hair then brush it out, I curl my ends then put it up in a fancy type ponytail. I head back to my room and grab my dress, it's a royal blue dress with white details and my track number 36. Track has always been my favorite sport but in other times of the year I play as Many sports as I can. I check the clock, 10:30. I guess I can go get something to eat. I exit my room and head down to the kitchen. I grab an energy bar, a banana, and a Capri Sun when my brother Johnny comes to the kitchen as well.

"Hey Stupid lesbo" my brother says as he grabs a water bottle. I really hate my brother, he always calls me lesbo and makes me feel bad about myself. Just because he is a rare type of element doesnt mean he is the shit, he also is a masive druggie which does not make anything any better.
"Johnny, I'm not I the mood right now."
"Oh the lesbo is sensitive, isn't she? Probably because she can't get A FUCKING GIRLFRIEND!" My brother yelled, I could tell he was high I didn't want him to come to the Elevent anyway.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP JOHNNY! IM NOT LESBIAN AND YOUR FUCKING STONED, FUCK YOU!" I yell at him then run to my room then slam the door. I really hate my brother, but he is sorta right I am lesbian even though I hate to admit it. I watch some tv to calm my nerves and once it hits 12 I get a text saying that I'm outside from Nick. I grabs my Royal Blue heels, slip them on and then we are off.
