Chapter 5

I wake up to the sound of yelling, lovely my parents are fighting on my birthday at 8 in the freaking morning. I try to go back to sleep but then remember hey wait it's my birthday I'm going to an amusement park. I mentally have a happiness moment than I jump out of bed and grab my phone and start playing my favorite playlist of songs which is mostly ones from YouTube, judge me. The first song comes on and I start singing along as Pond comes up to me to say hi. "Hey baby do you need some food?" She meows in response. "fine come 'ere" I fill her bowl then pet her until she starts to eat. "Fat cat" I say to her as I walk back towards my closet. I grab my high waisted studded shorts and my spongebob tank top it is July after all. I put my clothes down on the counter and hop in the shower.

After my shower I blow dry my hair then curl the ends since I'm 17. That feels amazing to say. I put on my usual makeup and slip my high top converse on, wait forgetting something. Oh yeah my keys and phone, I grab the items then grab my black creatures beanie to top it all off.

I hop into my car not wanting to deal with my arguing parents, I really am worried if Pond will be ok all by herself another day this week i mean she is just a kitten. But she did make it out on her own for a little while outside until I found her right next to a pond hence her name. I shake it out of my head and head on over to Leah's.

"What?" I ask myself as I pull up to her house. There were about 4 cars in her driveway non of which were hers cause hers was in the shop. I knock on her door and no answer so I opened up questioning why it wasn't locked then noticed all the lights off I shut the door and look for the lights but I am surprised because all the lights flipped on at once and all our friends jumped out and screamed "Surprise!" To be honest I was a little startled but then I realized what had just happened. "Happy Birthday!" Everyone shouts at the top of their lungs and run to me to give me a hug. "Wait it's Leah's birthday too ya know" I say wanting her to be trapped in loving arms. "What? No wait no hugs!" She say as everyone surrounds her in a hug, I laugh and say "So we going to an amusement park or what?" There was only about 6 of us so we took two cars, in my car was Leah, Eddie and I. Secretly I've actually had a crush on Eddie for the longest time but he has a girlfriend and I just Broke up with Josh so yeah not gonna happen. I brought my attention back to road and drove the three of us to the amusement park

"We're here" I say to Eddie and Leah since they were both playing on their phones. "Roller coasters here I come!" Eddie yelled as he jumped out of the car. His hyper-ness is so freaking cute, wait no Jessie he has a girlfriend. "Calm down Eddie" Leah says as she exits the car, she was wearing almost the same thing as me she had a plain red tank top and a pair of shorts but her hair was just in a pony tail not curled like mine plus she didn't wear any make up like I did. Eddie grabs a water bottle for each of us as we wait for the other people to get here.

"Bout time you guys showed up" I say as they pull into the parking spot next to us. "Hey there was traffic" Nick said, Nick is a girl by the way, her real name is Nickole but she prefers Nick. "There was none on our way" I say just to annoy her. "Haha very funny, there was traffic you just have a small car" she says in response. I laugh and we all
head to the park.

"So where to first" Kat asked, Kat was our very sporty friend and she was pretty much the only sporty one, plus she was Eddie's girlfriend. "Why don't we spilt up into groups? Like in pairs or something" Spencer asked, he is our very very very shy person in the group even when you get to know him and we all knew he liked Nick. "I'm down" Said Kat grabbing her boyfriends arm. "I say no, we are here to celebrate Jessie's and Leah's birthday we stay together" said Eddie thank god cause I wanted to stay together. "TO THE NEAREST ROLLER COASTER!" I yell then run with one hand on my waist and one in the air. Before I know it Eddie caught up with me and stopped me till the group came closer.

"I had a blast" I say as I buckle my seat belt. "So are we heading to my house?" Leah asks. "Pretty sure, right Eddie?" "As far as I know" He say then turns on music from his phone. "Ok, guys on a scale of one to ten how would you rate this band?" He ask as he starts a song that nor me and Leah know. As the song continues I notice something that baffles me. "Eddie is that you?" I ask him as I look in the mirror to see him. "How did you know?" He asks looking up in the mirror I was looking at him in. "Is it really that bad" He asks looking really bummed out. "No actually the opposite, I really like it." I tell him as I see the happiness in his face return, seeing him bummed out makes me sad. "Are you serious? You like it?" He ask. "Yes, I do now play more." I say turning off the radio and returning my eyes to the road.

Leah unlocks the door to her house because her mom and her dad were both out of town and we all walk in and flop down on the couch. As Leah, Nick, Kat, and I flop on the couch Eddie comes running and jump into our laps with his head on Kat's lap and his feet on mine. "Not funny Eddie your heavy" Leah says as she pushes him off us. Kat gets up and grabs two presents from the corner of the room and hands them to Leah and I. "You didn't have to." I say to her as she places one on my lap. "No I did now open it" I obeyed and torn the paper. "Wow.... Really?" I say as I pull out an aquamarine sterling silver ring. "It was Eddies idea" she says as he puts his arm around her. "You guys are awesome" I say as I hug Kat and then hug Eddie, our hug seemed oddly long whatever I liked it. "Um.." Kat said as I pull away from Eddie and sat back down next to Leah. "What did you Get?" I ask as she pulls out not one not two but three new books. "I'm happy right now" She says as she gets up and hugs Kat and Eddie. "My turn, out my way" Nick says as she makes a huge entrance and hands our presents to us. We all laugh then I tear open the paper. Inside was a box full of her homemade Gingersnap cookies. "I love you" I say simply then open the box and eat one of the heavenly cookies. "You told me a while ago you liked them so I figured I would make you a batch." She says smiling. I give her a hug then check on Leah. "I think you guys have realized you can't go wrong with books" She says as she gives Nick a hug and Spencer comes up with just one present. "This is for the both of you" Spencer says as he puts a giant box on our laps. "Ok I get this side you get the other?" I ask Leah and she nods. We rip the paper and are surprised with a smaller box. "Spencer I swear to god" I say as I open the second box. He laughs as I pull out A smaller box and have Leah open that. "Wow thanks Spencer" Leah says as she pulls out two necklaces that are best friend necklaces. One had a one side of the ying yang and the other has the other side except these were water and fire ying yang things. "I call fire!" Leah says taking the fire ying necklace and puts it on leaving me with the water yang necklace. I put it on and give Spencer a hug and say "No more boxes in boxes" he laughs and Leah's hugs him also. "So what now it's only 8:30" Nick says as she sits back down on the couch. "Well I got to go I have training in the morning and I need a good nights sleep" Kat says as she gives Eddie a kiss and leaves the house. "Still what are we gonna do?" Nick asks as everyone sits back down. "How about Truth or dare?" Eddie says looking around. "I'm down" says Nick. "I'm in if Nick is" Spencer says as me and Leah look at each other knowing that we are out numbered. Eddie and Nick move the coffee table and we sit in a circle on the floor. "I feel like we are gonna summon a demon" I admit as Eddie turns off the lights and puts a candle in the center. "Are you sure we are not summoning a demon?" I say as he sits down next to me and Spencer. He laughs and says "No we aren't summoning a demon this is just how you play truth or dare" "Ya sure bout that cause I've never played like this" I tell him. "Then you have never played correctly" he says then boops my nose "Ok so Spencer why don't you ask first" Leah says and I notice she doesn't want to play this but whatever it seems fun. "Um, Nick truth or dare?" "Uh truth" "Who do you like?" He ask hoping its him. "To be honest no one really" she say honestly as I can tell. Sadness takes over Spencer and he says "Ok." We went on with this for a little while till I got a dare I did not want what so ever. "Ok so Jessie, Truth or dare?" Nick asks me. "I guess dare I did truth last time." I say not realizing what was Coming for me. "I dare you to, hmm oh, I dare you to kiss Eddie."
