suga oneshot :)

i sat at there sitting on the edge of my seat as i watched aoba johsai vs karasuno match. i really hope karasuno won. i served the customers distractedly, as was everyone else in the store. tensions were high, karasuno was on the brink of losing. i covered my mouth and teared up when i saw the last point and oikawa's nasty smirk.

karasuno lost.

i hung up my uniform and immediately ran towards koushi's house, he wasn't there. i called him and he picked up.

"..."

"kou?" i asked quietly. all that could be heard from the other side of the line were sniffles. "kou, where ar-"

"w-we lost." koushi's quiet voice came out.

"i know, i'm sorry koushi, where are you?"

"i'm at xxx-xxx" he mumbled, "i'm with the team and coach eating to 'repair our muscles'."

"okay, i'll be there in a second alright?" i said softly, opening the car door and getting inside. "i won't be long at all!"

"okay..." he whispered, before quietly sobbing and ending the call.

i knew how sad they were. the third years specially. this was their last chance to get to nationals and it got ruined by that butt-weasel oikawa. i arrived to the restaurant and walked in seeing the whole team getting up and wiping their tears. i wiped my own and opened my arms wide for them.

"c'mere... there we go, don't you guys worry, you all did your best. what matters is that i am so so proud of you. anyone who would even take a glimpse at your match would know how stupidly amazing you guys are!" i said hugging them all as you got a chorus of "thank you"s and more sobs. "where's kou?" i queried with an eyebrow cocked up.

"he's in the bathroom, he'll be out soon." daichi said sniffing. i nodded and rubbed his arm.

"guys. go treat yourselves tonight. i promise it'll be much better if you do." i said smiling at them and waving as they left one by one.

once they all left i snuck into the men's stalls and knocked on one. "kou?" i asked but were met with sniffles. "hey, kou, come out." i said pushing the door open and sitting in the crying boy's lap. "it's okay," usually i'd say 'there's always next year!' but this is the one time it wouldn't work. "everyone at the store was cheering you guys on... they didn't groan when you guys lost, they congratulated you guys for working so hard. kou, i'm so unbelievably proud of how far you've come. don't you ever think, even for a moment, that i won't be. i love you." i breathed out. i cupped his face in my hands and looked into his eyes before mumbling another 'i love you' and kissing him tenderly.

"i love you too." he said softly before kissing me again.

"c'mon, let's go home." i said and held his hand as we walked out of the restaurant and into my car. we stopped by the grocery store and got some popcorn and sweets for a movie night.

we got back to home and i had to pick koushi up and have him koala cuddle me as we walked in. i placed the movie night things down and sat koushi onto the couch. i got a large blanket and set it on him. i kissed his forehead and handed him some super-spicy mapu tofu and turned on a movie.

as the movie finished i realized suga fell asleep. i kissed his forehead and played with his hair until i fell asleep myself.
