Bucky Barnes

Day 3

You woke up in Bucky's arms with dried tears all over your face. "Morning" Bucky says, while pulling you closer to him by your waist "How are you feeling?", "I'm much better, thanks for staying with me last night" you responded. "Anything for you doll" he says, and buries his face in your shoulder. 

While you got ready, Bucky told Steve and Tony that you needed a day off and that he was going to take you somewhere. They both eagerly agreed, they knew you were having a hard time adjusting.

Once you got ready and ate breakfast, Bucky came up from behind and grabbed your waist, "Buck!" you squealed, "hey doll, were going out today, just me and you" he said, "we've got training today and I haven't eve-", "we" he interrupted "are going out today, I already okayed it with Tony and Steve", "oh ok!" you responded. "Meet me in the garage in 20" he yelled while running down the hall.

Nat came by while you went to change. "So I hear you're going out with Barnes on a date?!", she questioned. "I don't know if its a date, but I guess" you responded from in your bathroom. "How do I look?" you asked as you came out of the bathroom. "Y/n first of all, its summer, and second, you can't wear training clothes on a date!", "But I don't have anything else", you groaned. Nat let out a sigh and ran out of your room. She came back running with a short, light, flowery summer dress and shoved it at your chest. "Nat, I don't know", she pointed at the bathroom and gave you a stern look, so you went to try it on. "Ok, what do you think?" you asked, Nat squealed and yelled "It's perfect, I love it!! Now go or else you're gonna be late". 

You headed down to the garage where Bucky was waiting for you. Tony had let him borrow one of his cars to take you out in. "Wow, you look gorgeous" Bucky claimed, "You're not so bad yourself soldier" you snapped back, without realizing you'd called him soldier. He clearly liked it because he bit his lip and opened your car door for you. "So where are we going?" you asked, "it's a surprise" he said. You listened to music and chatted in the car until you got there. 

"Where are we Buck?", "Patience y/n" he jokingly responded. He pulled over the car beside a trail in the side of the road. "Ummm" you let out, "Just wait doll!" he ordered. Bucky came around and opened your car door and helped you out. Then he went to the trunk and grabbed a basket and a blanket with his metal arm. With his flesh arm he grabbed your hand, interlocked your fingers and gave you a kiss on the forehead. You started blushing again. "Ah here it is" Bucky said while gesturing over to a clearing on the trail. It was the edge of a cliff that looked over all of New York City. "Wow, its beautiful" you exclaimed. 

Bucky set up the blanket and unpacked the food basket. You both sat down and looked over the city while eating some crackers that he had packed. "Thank you for telling me about your family, I know that was hard" Bucky said. "You know, you're the first person I've ever told about it", you paused, "after they died, I had nowhere to go, that's when I found the Red Room Academy...". "It's ok, you're not the only one with a dark past" Bucky replied. You looked down in your lap and signed because you knew what he went through. "Were some pair huh?" you muttered, which made him chuckle and respond "Yea, some pair".

You were feeling brave, so you crawled over and laid your head in his lap. He stared down at you with amazement, "y/n you are the most beautiful person I've ever laid eyes on". You blushed and laughed. He ran his fingers through your long auburn hair and you both sat there and talked for what seemed like hours. 

The sun was going down and you decided it was time to pack up. Bucky held your hand as you both walked back to the car. He reached for your door handle but didn't open the door just yet, he turned you around so your back was leaning on the car. He dropped the basket and blanket and kissed you. You didn't think anything could surpass your last kiss with Bucky, but somehow, this one did. You'd been waiting all day for this moment. His hands roamed all over your body and finally landed on cupping your face. He broke the kiss and said, "alright doll, let's head back, it getting dark". Still blushing you sat in the car and he put your seatbelt on for you. His metal hand brushed against your bare thigh and chills ran down your spine. You wanted him so bad. But then he got in the car and you both sang to all the songs on the radio on the way home.
