Eclipsa Butterfly.

The daughter of Solaria the Carver, and the next ruler of Mewni. A princess who is willing to learn everything around her and many magics from the forbidden tomes in the library. She who, unlike her mother, is compassionate to the monsters from the discrimination they suffered. Then her mother is gone, and so she is crowned as the new Queen and holding the magic staff.

Eventually when she grew old enough to be wed, Eclipsa married to a nobleman Shastacan. But of course she felt no love for him. She only agreed to marry him for the sake of the kingdom as their Queen. One day while learning magic to aid her people and to protect them, she came across a history book that tells of another dimension outside of Mewni.

Of course, Eclipsa couldn't help it and started reading the book. To her amazement, there's even magic on the other side in a place called Britannia and there are more than one kind. There are nine clans in total: Demons, Gods and Goddesses, Celestial, Fairies, Vampires, Druids, Giants, Humans, and Beastmen. She grew fascinated by them, and started to read more about each of the clans.

Then it got to the point that she wanted nothing more than to visit Britannia. She daydreamed and became even more excited at the mere thought. But Eclipsa is always hesitant to make it come true. There is a law within Mewni, that it is forbidden for one to traverse to another dimension for it would expose their existence.

Magic here in Mewni is considered to be much more powerful, and already it can attract unwanted visitors. Especially the royal wand itself that is capable of destroying the entire universe, and having its magic falling into the wrong hands is the most of their worries. Plus, those who attempted to cross over will be marked as traitors to for attempting to reveal them and doom them all.

With this in mind, Eclipsa knew she would be in huge trouble if she attempted to visit. One can only dream, and only turned to books to fantasize it. Obviously that didn't last long, as her curiosity only grew and grew, and finally decided to do it against her better judgement. After all, no one will find out as long as she plays it safe.

So by nightfall, when Mewni has fallen into deep slumber, Eclipsa managed to sneak out of the castle through the secret passage and out beyond. With her magic, she created the vortex to make her way to the other dimension.

The Queen was in awe upon the beauty of the other world. Though it looked similar to Mewni, there are just creatures there that are completely different and the nature itself is nonmagical. From that point on, she started visiting Britannia each passing day whenever Mewni slumbers, since it is broad daylight here due to time difference.

She can only linger there for approximately a couple hours, when the sun here in Britannia started to set and for the moon to raise. Eclipsa knew it was around this time, morning is arriving in Mewni and that she must return before anyone noticed her absence. She couldn't risk for anyone, the king, and the Magic Council to become suspicious of where she kept disappearing to.

She would play around in the wilderness, carrying her notebook to study the new species of the insects and animals, and even visit villages and towns. Whenever she does though, she made sure to put on makeup back in Mewni to cover her cheek emblems. Eclipsa, like a good-hearted person she is, would help a struggling village in need. Be it the illness or injuries their loved ones have suffered.

She used her magic to heal them, and coming up with concoctions made from herbs and such to make illness much more bearable to tolerate and to combat it. When enemies threatened their lives, she step in and protect the folks. Because Eclipsa grew to love this place so much, she started building a hut of her own within the woods and have it act as an infirmary for the injured.

Humans would come visit her to for healthcare, and soon her reputation spreads as the healer of the woods. Eclipsa was lucky that she can use magic even without the use of her wand, otherwise that would raise suspicions. When night fell and her returning to Mewni, she had to regulate her sleeping schedule knowing her excuse of staying up all night would no longer be acceptable. When one would ask where she'd been, she would say she went out exploring.

This continued on for nearly a month...

Until that fateful day, when Eclipsa is out in Britannia studying their arts of magic from the tome in hands, she encountered two powerful demons from the Demon Clan. When their eyes met, it was like sparks flew between them and the instant warm feeling flooded through her. If love at first sight existed, this had to be the closest the Queen ever believed.

That was also the day Eclipsa forgot to wear makeup, and so her marks drew them in when they glowed. Her exotic beauty amazed them, just as their exotic looks instantly attracted her and ignored the fact they are high-ranking demons. She thought this encountered would be the only thing, but they continued to visit her.

Soon enough, Eclipsa thirst to learn this world soon faded and gained another desire for visitation. She started visiting Britannia just to see the demon brothers time and time again. They would talk for hours, exchanging their dreams and secrets of each other. And the feeling between them intensified. Upon revealing the strained relationship Mewni had with Britannia, both of them decided to attempt to mend it.

At one point when returning to Mewni however, her husband revealed wanting children to continue their royal lineage. Of course, Eclipsa was repulsed by the idea of it and decided that was it. She left Mewni for good and over to Britannia to stay with the demon princes where she confessed her love to them, in which they reciprocated.

When nearly a year has passed, Shastacan and the Magic High Commission soon discovered the whereabouts of Eclipsa. When she learned this, she was forced to seal away the memories of her new husbands about her and fled away to meet them head on. And to pay the price of going against the law of Mewni.

-

"Queen Eclipsa, you have committed treason for visiting the other dimension and for abandoning the kingdom for your foul lovers. As punishment, you are to be sealed away within the crystal for all eternity."

Eclipsa said nothing, as she bore a look of impassiveness. She ignored the cries of her people to which she was supposed to lead and protect, as one of the Magic High Commission is preparing to immobilize her in the crystal. She closed her eyes softly, as she lets out a melancholy smile when she remembered her lovers... and her daughters.

'Meliodas... Zeldris... Meteora... Isis... I love you all so much...' was her last thought, a single tear falling from the corner of her eyes before she was imprisoned.
