So, here's my a/n

First off, welcome!! I'm so glad you made it to the end of this chapter in Aki's story, and I hope you had a ball getting here 🖤🖤

Second off, this is the last chapter in this book. But not to fear- Aki's story isn't quite done yet! There will be another book for the next step of his journey called 'The Ripples of Time'.
(If you came from AO3 or the discord, you know what I'm talking about.)

It's very much like this story's Shippuden or part 2, going from when Naruto comes back to Konoha all the way to the end of Aki's story. It'll be up soon, so stayed tuned! But before it hits, a word of warning.

This story will get dark.

If you're in our discord chat, you know part of the storm that's about to hit. This isn't a story about sunshine and rainbows- not anymore. The crack was fun and won't fully leave, but all the shadowed angst from earlier chapters are coming back with a vengeance.

Like in the series, Naruto was mostly about setting the stage. Showing what pieces were in play and how they related.

Shippuden, however, was where shit hit the fan. And that's the way this story will be.

I don't know if I put enough of this in this segment, but Aki has some Issues that were mainly glossed over here, y'all. In part 2, all that's gonna be brought to the light. It's gonna be longer than this part, it's gonna be darker, and there's gonna be heavy themes of loss, giving up, hopelessness, etc.

That being said, there will be a... (I hope) satisfying ending to this story if you stick with it. One that will wrap up all loose ends and truly bring an end to Aki's tale. Be safe, know when you need to stop, and be careful.

(I say 'hope' because it's a sad ending, y'all. You're gonna scream, you're gonna cry, you're gonna shake your fists at me and demand a different ending- a 'What If', if you will. You're gonna curse my very name for making you care about this Uzumaki only to hurt him like this, and you're gonna wanna wrap him in a blanket to nap for a thousand years.

And I'll sit on my throne of iced tears and marshmallows and laugh at your suffering, watching the fires burn the kingdom I've built up from depression and pain from the comfort of my dining room.)

Ahem. Anyway.

Let's see, covered the angst, the next part, how this chapter's ending...

I have a couple of questions. A bit of a survey to both see what y'all think and to work a bit on what's coming next. (And I'm just really curious on y'alls thoughts so far. I want to know what emotions and thoughts this traveling jester put into your head.)

First- what are your thoughts on Aki's story so far? What do you hope to see in the next part? What are you expecting- what do you think the big plot twist will be? What characters do you hope will be shown more? Who do you think the characters will end up with and why? I desperately want to see what seeds I've sown into your heads- both out of curiosity and to help future foreshadowing, as I'm not the best at it and want to improve.

Second- something about a future story.

See, I have over 70 drafts of tales and stories and fics that may never see the light of publishing. I want to know if you'd be interested in reading some of those, in between waiting for some of my other works.

I have stuff about shinobi in Hunter X Hunter, one or two mixing Persona 5 and Naruto in a hell baby, another one about an oc saving shisui, a couple set in the world of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime'... even one crossing Tokyo Ghoul with Naruto.

In other words, too many to name here mostly featuring Naruto or ocs. But I digress- is there something you suspect I've written that ya wanna see?

Anyway, uh... That's about it. I have a ko-fi if ya wanna support me, and I'm accepting commissions from there for pretty cheap, you're interested. I'll do stuff like random ficlets, whole-ass fics, specific scenes, a word count... I'll even give ya a bit of future chapters, if ya request it.
