She spent her days at the side of her twin brother Baelor, living simply and peacefully. She had been running Blacktyde castle as her brother looked for suitors from himself and her.
Tales of Baela's bravery and beauty had spread far and wide from the moment she came of age and many on the Iron Islands and even Westeros sought her hand. But one wanted her more than the rest and she found herself falling into the clutches of Euron Greyjoy not a few days past her seventeenth nameday.
Whisked away in the night while the others of her ancestral home slept, she was taken on Euron's ship Silence and proclaimed his rock wife before the mute crew.
