CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

BIG TIME JUMP

ONE YEAR LATER

BEYONCÉ POV

This past year has been so crazy I turned twenty , Annie graduated high school with a full scholarship to California State University,and Shawn and I couldn't be happier. I can't believe we were able to do all this. I barley even knew what the world was two years ago and I never thought I would. I will continue to praise god every day to all that was given to me. At the today though Shawn, Annie, and I all packing up for a big trip to Costa Rica for Kelly and Tim's wedding. I couldn't be more excited for my big sister she deserves it all. Our flight leaves at noon today so we are finishing up packing our last few things. Shawn came into our room to grab the rest of his things. He asked if I was all done and I said I was almost ready. He left after stealing a kiss from my lips.

I went downstairs to put my bags in the living room for Shawn to take to the car. I quickly went back up to go to the bathroom and went outside and got into the car with Annie. She came out with the bags and we made our way to the airport. Unfortunately the security checks took for ever,but thankfully we made it on the plane and took off. The flight was going to be about ten hours so I rested my head to Shawn's shoulder as he ran his fingers through my hair. I loved it when he did that and before long I was sound asleep.

I woke up when we landed We got up and got off the plane. I was extremely jet lagged so I was planning on going straight to the hotel. Annie wanted to hangout with Kelly and Shawn wanted to chill with Tim. So I went to sleep when we checked into the hotel after I said hello to Kelly. Shawn and Annie left and I slept in peace. I woke up four hours later to Annie and Kelly coming into the room. "Hey Bey you wanna go eat with us Tim and Shawn are meeting us at the restaurant. I felt a little better so I got up to go put some clothes on. I put on my shoes and grabbed my card key. We went to a sushi restaurant and it looked promising. We went in and spotted Tim and Shawn and they waved us over. After a little while the waiter came back over and we ordered our food.

After we finished eating lunch Annie wanted to go back to the room. We watched TV for a while. I was bored so I texted and asked Kelly if she wanted to go on a double date for dinner. I just hope Annie will be alright by herself because none of the rest of the family is not here because we're here early. The wedding activities do not even start until next Tuesday. Kelly agreed and we decided to get ready in her room after we texted Tim and Shawn our plans. We were doing our hair and makeup and we were just talking. The conversation went to us talking about our relationships and she asked if Shawn and I have done "it" yet. Now that I am thinking about it he has never asked. We did other things but we never got that far. "Well,no he has never asked. I wonder why." I told her  " Well don't stress about it will happen when its supposed to." I nodded and finished curling my hair. I decided to go light with the makeup and we were done just in time when the guys knocked on the door. 

We got into the car and made our way to the restaurant. The sun had not began to set yet so it was pretty light outside. We arrived and we were seated. We sat there talking until the waiter came over to us. I decided to order some pasta and meatballs. We ate,laughed,and talked we were having so much fun. I was still thinking about the conversation me and Kelly had earlier. I mean I think I am ready,but maybe he is not ready yet. I think I will talk to him about it another time,but maybe like Kelly said it will happen organically when it's supposed to. I felt Tim tap me interrupting my thoughts to get my attention ,and I realized they had been talking to me for the last ten minutes. "Did you hear what I said?" Kelly asked. "No,can you say it again." " Well I was just asking what you wanted to do tomorrow." I thought about it but I didn't really know. " Maybe we could just chill and not do anything extra with all the wedding stuff next week, let's just enjoy these next few stress free days,but,after this let's go on the sunset cruise and pick up Annie so she can come too." They all nodded and agreed with me. After we finished we Shawn and Tim split the check and we We texted Annie to be ready so when we got to the hotel we could leave quickly. Luckily she was ready and we left. We drove down to the seaside and we found the boat the sun had just begun to set and I was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Kelly and Annie came up next to me pulling me into a hug. I was so wonderful with my sisters and my man I could have never imagined anything like this just two years ago. It felt like it was just yesterday it was just me and my mother all day everyday. I looked at Kelly and I knew she felt the same gratitude for everything and everybody she has in her life as much as I did. By this time next week she will be married to the love of her life. I looked at Annie who became a sister and a best friend to me since the day I met her I knew she had a heart of gold. I could have never asked for a better family in my life.

Shawn's POV

Tim and I walked over to Bey,Kelly,and Annie as they stood by the boat railing; they all had far away looks on their faces. I wrapped my arms around Bey's shoulders and whispered that I loved her in her ear. She turned to look at me with her bright brown eyes and her beautiful smile. Tim and Kelly left the railing and went to sit in one of the chairs as the sky got darker. I could not wait to see the stars when they came out. It started to get a little cooler outside and we grabbed blankets and I saw that Annie had fallen asleep on one of the chairs. Kelly and Tim had come back by the railing as the boat turned and faced the bright city shining in the night sky.

We could not really see the stars very well with all the lights in the city so the boat went further out until the buildings were just specks and the stars and the moon shone brightly in the sky illuminating everything in silver light. I pulled Bey even closer and held her tightly. We rented out the boat for the whole night and the captain came out and told us we would head back to shore tomorrow morning at around ten o'clock. We all nodded and I went to wake up Annie so she could go into her cabin. She said goodnight to us as she disappeared inside.

Bey had not said a word in a while she was just so mesmerized by the beauty of the stars. I could not even blame her. I have never seen anything like it. I realized she had tears in her eyes. "Baby,what is wrong?" I asked her. She shook her head "It's just when I was sick I dreamed of seeing two things: the ocean and the stars lighting up the sky. I can't believe I am seeing it all." I held her face in my hands and wiped her face. "Believe it baby and you deserve it all." I heard a door close and saw that Tim and Kelly went inside to their cabin. I looked at my watch and saw how late it was " Baby are you ready to go inside yet?" She nodded and we went to our cabin. It was a pretty nice size and we decided to get in the bath together and we weren't in there for ten minutes before Bey was out cold on my chest. I laid in there with her until the water got cold and I got us out. I put lotion and one of my tee shirts on her body. I laid her down and got in the bed next to her and she rolled over on my chest. It was not long before I fell asleep too.
