We walked into her room. It was in the west wing which was scary. I was nervous to even look at her. A small cot was set up in one corner of her room. Nicer than even my bed at home. It had the same sheets as the room I stayed in last night. We washed up in her large bathroom and layed down. I look around her room. Her bed was large and grand. It had a very soft blue quilt and black sheets. Her walls were pure white. The floor was cold tiles that sent a chill down your spine when you stepped on them barefoot. A maid brought my trunk up to her room and set it at the end of the bed. She had a chandelier that hung above her bed. Her room smelled of roses and salt. You could hear the sounds of the ocean that was below the large tower. The splash of the waves hitting the rocks.

"I am sorry," her voice sounded tortured, quiter and less smooth.

"For what?"

"All the trouble I have caused for you."

"Whatever do you mean."

"Pulling you away from everyone, having you sleep in my room. Truth is I just wanted a chance to talk to you. You look interesting. I also saw James staring at you every time you looked away. I did not want him to try and take you for himself."

"I highly doubt he has any interest in me."

"I highly doubt he doesn't."

"May I ask, why did you choose me?"

"I already said, you look interesting. I have seen you through my window. In the water. Swimming gracefully and with ease. I saw you in the courtyard, reading a book. I like that. It is very simple, rather than begging for attention you laid low."

"You saw me swimming? When?"

"A few days ago. You were hard to miss. Or I was just really insanely bored."

"Probably the latter."

"Probably."

We laughed for a while and then told stories of our lives. We fell asleep while staring at each other. I woke up the next day to see her asleep on the bed. I put on my uniform I was meant to wear and stepped out of the room. I saw a boy about our age standing next to a guard. I greeted both of them and walked down the hall to the dining hall. I walked in and only saw a few people inside. I stepped back out to go out to the courtyard instead. We got swimsuits yesterday so we can go swimming in the ocean outside. I was going to swim but decided not too today. I sat down on a bench next to a large magnolia tree. James walked out and I wasn't going to say hello until he met my eyes. "Hello Amelia."

"Hi James."

"Shouldn't you be in the dining hall."

"Not many people were in there and I got bored of sitting in silence."

"Understandable. Would you like to come sit at our table again?"

"If you will have me that would be lovely. When does Charlotte usually wake?"

"She will wake soon enough. She will make breakfast do not worry."

"Perfect."

"Shall we go?" James held out his hand. It was a large hand with long fingers with clear veins going through them.

"We shall," I grabbed his hand and he led me into the dining hall. He had his servant set an extra place at the table, across from him and next to Charlotte. I sat down and he and I talked about random things until more girls came in and so did his mother, the queen.

"Good morning Amelia, I trust you slept well in Charlotte's room."

"I did indeed, it was lovely."
