A/N: This one took a while. Also, with the fact that Brooke is the one narrating, there will be instances that her parents would join in. So here is the legend for those two:
Male Narrator
Female NarratorNow, on with the oneshot.
----------------
Chariclo Arganthone Cupid, or C.A. Cupid the adopted daughter of Eros, gazed out of her window at her side of the dorm with her arms propped up on it as her head leaned against them.
It was a perfect day. A perfect weekend.
And what happens during weekends? Dates!
Whether it be romantic or just friendly, it is the perfect day for a date.
But instead of smiling because of the love that is in the air, she frowned out of sadness.
Did you think that with her role as the next god, or goddess, of love will have an effect on her love life? Like, in the sense that there will be a lot of love letters pouring out of her locker every single time she opens it?
No. It does not.
It may be a common thing that Greek gods and goddesses have flings with mortals and other beings and leave them alone the morning after. But for Cupid, she values true actual love.
She knows that it is silly thinking like that. But her heart disagrees.
She may be a demigoddess, but she knows that she was born mortal. She was just made into a cherub by her father.
As she watched the people pass by her window, she let her wings flap. And only flap.
She couldn’t fly. Well she could, just a few inches off the ground. Probably because her wings were given.
Then she saw a familiar mop of brown hair, whose owner had glasses on. And with him was a black haired girl with maroon and purple streaks here and there, holding hands with the boy.
She let out a sigh as she remembered all the times when she used to try to impress him. Every attempt failed. She even planned on using her arrows on him for him to notice her. To see her as more than a friend.
But she refrained from doing it. Love is an uncontrollable force. A force of nature, she had mentioned once.
But that time had long since passed. She completely got over him when she had deemed her feelings worthless.
Dexter Charming, the son of King Charming, has his eyes already for a girl. And that girl is the one with him. Raven Queen, the daughter of the Evil Queen.
She and Raven are good friends. Friendship is much more important than love.
Another reason why she had to let go of Dexter.
And as soon as the two left her sight, she continued to watch people pass by. Catching a few couples here and there.
Ashlynn Ella, daughter of Cinderella, and Hunter Huntsman, son of the Huntsman, with a picnic basket in hand.
Apple White, daughter of Snow White, riding on a horse whilst Darling Charming, daughter of King Charming and Dexter’s twin, walked it. Sir Gallopad was his name, right?
Then there’s Daring Charming, son of King Charming, with Rosabella Beauty, daughter of Beauty and the Beast, enjoying a walk with an aardvark straggling behind them.
Oh! And Briar Beauty, daughter of Sleeping Beauty, was walking alone as Faybelle Thorn, daughter of the Dark Fairy, watched her from above. Those two weren’t an official couple, but Cupid knows that one likes the other.
