It's almost time for the party and my heart feels like it's beating out of my chest. Johnny should be here to come pick me up in any minute now. The dress and necklace both look amazing. We'll finally get to go dancing together. Maybe he'll give me that dance that he owes me. I hear a knock at the door in the other room. That must be him. I walk out of my room to the door. I open it and it's him. He looks so handsome. I'd never seen him in a suit before, but now that I have I hope he wears them more often. "Wow y/n, you look so perfect. I had thought about what you might have looked like, but you're even more beautiful with it on in reality"

"Thank you babe. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, we just have to go back to my house because my parents want to drive."

"Okay, let's go then my night in shining armor."

"And this is it y/n!", Laura said to me as she pulled into the country club. It was so beautiful. A tall fountain was in front of the door, and lots of coins filled the bottom. "Are you ready to go in?", Johnny asked.

"I don't know, what if they don't like me?"

"I promise they will. They will love you almost as much as I do", he says as I kiss him on the cheek. I start to open the door until he says "Wait! Let me go get that for you!". He leaps out of the car and jogs over to my side of the car. "You know you don't have to be all gentleman like for me", i say as he opens the door.

"But-"

"No buts, you know I love you for you. You don't need to put this gentleman stuff on."

"Alright dear, i love you". He puts his arm in mine and we walk through the doors of the country club. I've never been inside one before. I've always thought they were overrated. But now that I'm in one I kind of see why people pay to be here. It looks magical. "I'm going to go say hi to some people. I'll be back in a little bit."

"Mhm, I remember last time you said that"

"Hey, I promise I'll be back to give you that dance".

"Alright, but you better bring me back some punch!".  I decided to stay close to Johnny's parents, to go and meet some people here. So far every one I've met is so nice. Everyone is so respectful and kind. "Oh, it's you", i hear a voice from behind me. I turn around and see that its Ali. "Oh, hi Ali. How do you like the party so far?"

"Eh, it was great till I noticed you were here."

"Oh. Well I love your dress, it looks beautiful on you."

"Thank you, yours is too. Such a shame you make it look like a dumpster fire."

"Alright then, have a good night"

"We aren't done talking yet, y/n"

"Look Ali, I'm just trying to have a good night with Johnny. I understand you and him have history together but I haven't done anything to you. So can you just leave me and Johnny alone."

"No, you took him away from me, you bitch."

"Excuse you? I did not take him away from you!"

"Yeah right, everything was fine with us until you came into the picture and fucked everything up."

"Whatever, I'm done with this conversation", i say as I storm away from her. God, what a fucking bitch! I haven't done anything to her ever! Why is she acting like a asshole to me! I walk over to the punch table to blow off some steam. "Hey you okay?" Johnny says next to me.

"Eh, it's just Ali being rude for no reason. She thinks I stole you away from her. You know all I've ever done is be nice to her, at the party, when I first met her at the beach. But now I don't think I should be."

"Well first, while yes, we were still together when i came to the beach, she broke up with me that night. Now she's acting like that never happened. Second, just try not to talk to her, after the party or at school tomorrow I'll talk to her about it and I'll tell her to leave us alone."

"Promise?" I said holding my pinky out.
"Promise", he says before locking his pinky and kissing it. He then pulls me into a kiss. "Now, what about that dance you owe me Johnny".

"Ah, i did say I'd do that, didn't I."

"Yes you did, now come on! It'll be fun, I promise", I say as I practically drag him out to the dance floor.

"You look so pretty in this lighting", Johnny said while looking in my eyes.

"Whatever, they are not that pretty"

"Are you kidding me, it's like whenever I look at them I'm put in a trance, never being able to look out of them.", he says while spinning me.

"Oh look, the boys are here, mind if i go and hang with them for a little bit?"

"Yeah, tell them i said hi!"

"I will, bye hon!" He said while jogging to them. I start to sway to the song, not knowing what to do. I see someone peeking out of the kitchen window. Is, is that Daniel? I walk closer to and it is! I didn't know he would be here. I walk up to the door and open it. "Busted"

"Oh my god y/n, I didn't think you could get anymore beautiful than you already are, but here we are."

"Shut up, do you want to go sit with me and talk? Johnny is with his friends right now and I don't know anyone else here that much."

"That sounds great y/n"

"So then, he gave me the car, I drove here, and here we are! Mr. Miyagi is such a great man."

"Agreed, he's like the dad that I've never had."

"Exactly. Oh y/n i wouldn't look right now but I think Johnny might be a little hammered". I look up and see Johnny sipping out of a bud light bottle. He can barely walk straight and I can hear his slurred words from here. I turn around to tell him,"It's fine, I'll get him and take him home. It was really great talking with you Danny, I hope you and Ali work out". I turn back around and see Johnny's lips intertwined with Ali's.
