im fine (part 10)

Addisons pov
"They couldn't save the baby" bryce said in tears. "what" i ask back in shock. "the baby, Addison. they couldn't save the baby." I started crying historically as bryce stuttered those words. Bryce pulled me into a hug. We sat there for around 10 minutes before i heard Caitlyn's voice as the door opens. "oh my god addison! your okay!" she said as she ran and pulled me into a hug slightly hitting my stomach on accident. "OUCH" I yell.! "CAIT" bryce says raising his tone. "oh no im sorry addison im sorry" Caitlyn said. "It's fine" i said. 

[20 minutes later] 

bryce and i were still cuddling in bed, crying. cait had left 15 minutes ago as she had an important meeting to attend to. Not so long after, i heard the door open. i looked up to see my doctor walking in. bryce and i immediately sit up as i wipe away my tears. 

doctor: oh addison! your awake

bryce: she woke up around half an hour ago

doctor: im really sorry to have interrupted you but i need to do some tests on addison first. has bryce told y-

addison: yes doctor, he has *looks down* 

doctor: im so sorry for your loss. both of you. are you both doing fine?

bryce: yes doctor and thank you.. for treating adds

doctor: my pleasure. how about you addison? are you doing okay after the news?

addison: yes, doctor.

yes i know i told my doctor i was doing fine but i really wasnt. i couldnt let doctor and bryce see me like this. deep down i just wanted to scream and end the world. the anger in me has risen in me. why the fuck would someone do that? why do people have to be so mean?!

bryces pov

i turned over to addison who had just said she was doing fine. i knew that she really wasnt but i didnt say anything about it. the doctor then proceeded to speak. "glad you are doing okay addison. i have to run some tests on you just to make sure that you are doing fine. after that, i can discharge you because the stab wasnt too deep. however, the stab couldve hurt the baby because unborn babies are very sensitive and tend to react worst than a newborn baby would. we have already removed the baby while you were unconscious. would you like to see the b-"

"no doctor. its fine" addison said slightly tearing up. i nodded to agree because seeing the baby would make this situation and addisons condition worst. the doctor then continued explaining "okay. so you can be discharged at 9.00pm. addison, your stomach will be very sensitive for the next week so i advise you to be in bed and avoid and walking around except for going to the toilet. bryce would that work out?"

"of course doctor" i say. "good! also make sure that you dont put too much pressure on your stomach. experiencing vaginal bleeding is normal for the next week so dont worry too much about that. that is all. addison, you will follow me to the next room an bryce you can bring her homat at 9." the doctor explained. "okay!" i exclaimed before giving addison a hug and pecking her lips and proceeded to walk out of the room.

addisons pov [3 hours later]

it was now 9 and i walked out of the hospital room to see bryce sitting down there. he stood up and i ran into his arms making sure not to put too much pressure on my stomach.
