frantic knocks on my white front door. i was sure the paint chipped with how hard and fast the knocks were.

running down the stairs and opening the door—

mia, lucy, kali and lillia right outside.

"hey, guys. wh—" i started

"i saw the paparazzi pictures." lucy cut me off

"of you and nessa" kali cut her off

"oh. ness!" i yelled "our friends are here, and we're gonna tell them"

fast clicking of nails on the ground and light footsteps, from nessa and betty.

"first of all, a cat? really kay" lillia said

she hates cats, i don't know how. they're so fluffy and cuddly. "yes, lils a cat" i snapped at her "this is betty, my kitten"

"wow this is all so fast. don't you think it's too fast" lillia rolled her eyes

what the hell is wrong with her.

"too fast to have a cat?" i asked genuinely confused

"no you and nessa" she said, wow it shocked me.

why wouldn't she say something, her recent behavior is making me nervous. like she's gonna reach into her hat and pull out a bloody bunny.

"well i'm happy and kay's happy why aren't you happy" nessa said. she's so perfect, i cannot fuck this up. i really like her.

"i am happy, i'm just saying you guys just met five months ago" she started "and now you're dating and going on dates."

"yeah, yeah, whatever" kali said "i'm more concerned about what happened between you and lillia"

"what happened between us?" i asked, confused

"no, why is she acting so weird. why did you say you haven't talked to her in hollywood fix? you've talked to us, we've hung out" lucy said

"you don't think i try to talk to her or hang out with her" i start to feel frustrated "she's my friend, i've tried but she's busy all the time"

lucy sighed, "i'm not talking to you, i was talking to lillia"

"guys i have no idea what you're talking about." lillia looked over at nessa who was sitting on the couch petting betty, then to mia who was sitting across from her looking at her feet "i love kay, i love you guys, i love our friendship. i just don't want anything to get in the way. i would, like, hate for us to not be friends."
