Chapter 6: Start of Something New

"Those I have chosen for my group are Hwang Yeji, Choi Lia, Shin Ryujin, Lee Chaeryeong, and Shin Yuna," I confessed. "Why did you choose them Nina?" Jinyoung inquired. "I chose them because of their personality. They are genuinely good people who work hard and never ever gave up. I hope you can believe in them as much as I do," I explained. Jinyoung looked pleased with my decision. "What about you Chan?" Jinyoung turned to Chan. Chan looked shaky, clearly nervous as he took a deep breath. "I've chosen Lee Minho, Seo Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Felix, Kim Seungmin, and Yang Jeongin," Chan offered. "And why?" Jinyoung requested. "For the same reasons as Nina, those I have mentioned are devoted to their work, kind, and honest. I know you will believe in them like I do," Chan assured. Jinyoung looked proud at our choice. After a few seconds of nerve wracking silence, Jinyoung said the words we've been waiting for. "I approve of your choices. Please don't let me down," Jinyoung approved. A big smile broke out on my face. "Thank you sir! I won't let you down!" I cheered. "Thank you so much!" Chan thanked. "I think that we should call them in," Jinyoung suggested. I looked at Chan and hugged him. "We are closer to debut Chan," I whispered. "We really are. I'm proud of us," Chan congratulated. "I'm proud of you Chan," I remarked. "Hwang Yeji, Choi Lia, Shin Ryujin, Lee Chaeryeong, Shin Yuna, Lee Minho, Seo Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Felix, Kim Seungmin, and Yang Jeongin. Please come to my office," Jinyoung called on the intercom. "Can we hide and surprise them?" Chan giggled. "Sure," Jinyoung laughed. Hiding under the desk, it took about 5 minutes for them all to come in. "So I guess you are wondering why you are here. I would like to announce that you are all..." Jinyoung announced. "YOU ARE ALL IN THE NEW GROUPS!" Chan, Jinyoung, and I cheered. "WHAT," everyone else collectively gasped. "You will all be taken out of your current classes and put in debut prep. If one of you debuts, the other will debut about a year later," Jinyoung informed us. "We won't let you down sir," I assured him.

The next year became a blur, everything went by so fast. One day I was training, the next I was on stage performing. Everything went by so fast, where did time go? I wished for my days to go fast, to fast forward to debut, but they need to slow down. Am I ready for this? I've waited for this moment for my whole life and it's now finally happening. The past 2 years of training will pay off.

"Hello! We are Girls 2 Team!" The 6 of us cheered. In this episode of the survival show, Jinyoung had to choose whether Girls 2 Team or Stray Kids would debut. No matter who debuts, I'll be happy. We became very well known because of our energetic performance. Quite a few Stray Kids fans became interested in us because Jisung and me are twins. There were loads of comments saying "Being beautiful must run in the family" making the 14 of us laugh together when we watched the show. In the end, Stray Kids were able to debut. They all moved out of the trainee dorms and into the artist dorms. "I'm so happy for you Ji. You deserve this so much," I encouraged him. Jisung was feeling nervous about debut, "What if I'm not enough-" he asked.
"I'll stop you there. You are enough and you are doing an amazing job. I know you'll do amazing things. You got me into music, you make the world a brighter place."

"You deserved to debut more."
"I'll debut, remember Jinyoung said that the other group that doesn't debut with the show will debut a year later."
"Okay, thank you Nina."
"No problem Jisung. I love you."

"I love you too, even if you are more annoying."

"THAT'S YOU!!"

"Stay in touch?"
"Do I have an option? We are literal twins, we can't be separated."

"You are right. Take care, all 6 of you."

"All of you take care too."

I embraced him in a hug, a tight one.

A week later, I've gotten the news we've waited our whole life for. "Han Nina, Hwang Yeji, Choi Lia, Shin Ryujin, Lee Chaeryeong, and Shin Yuna. Please report to my office," Jinyoung announced over the PA. We were training together in debut prep, so we got to the office together. "Hello sir," We greeted. "Hello girls, you 6 will be debuting on February 12, 2019 as our first girl group after Twice," Jinyoung announced. Woah. "Thank you so much!" I cried. "Really?!"

"Pardon?"

"WOOOHOOO!!"

"For real?"

"We won't disappoint you!"

"I put the responsibility of creating an introduction and group name to your leader Nina," Jinyoung informed. "That's our leader!" Yeji cheered. We all laughed and thanked Jinyoung.

Chan: WHAT ACTUALLY GOOD JOB KIDS

Minho: finally you guys r debuting 🙄

Changbin: DOES THIS MEAN WE CAN RELEASE THE MUSIC WE MADE TOGETHER?????

Ryujin: MAYBE????? Idk if we will be allowed

Felix: We run this company, we will allow it.

Hyunjin: I'M SO LATE HELP CONGRATS

Lia: OHMY THANK U

Yuna: Any warnings you wanna give us?

Jisung: Do whatever you wanna do, fuck the government

I told my parents that night too. It's really the start of something new.
