Toni put her journal down and got out of bed. When she woke up Cheryl wasn't in bed and that's was weird because it was the weekend and she always slept in on the weekends. She went to go look for Cheryl around the house.
She saw Cheryl and her kids on FaceTime with someone, "who is that?"
"My mom" Cheryl whispered back to Toni
Toni sat on the other couch and listened to the conversation the kids were having with their grandma
"grandma wishes she could see you and give you a big hug" Penelope said and the kids smiled
"I do too, but can you send mommy your brownie recipe?"
"Toni's been cooking so much I think mommy forgot how to cook" Chloe added and Cheryl panicked
who's Toni?" Penelope asked
Cheryl and Toni just looked at each other nor knowing what to do, but luckily Chloe came to the rescue
"she's mommy's friend, she's been staying with us" Cheryl's daughter said
"Chloe, how about you and Adriel go play upstairs, I need to talk to your mom" Penelope said and the kids went upstairs
Once they were alone, besides Toni standing there, she started going off, "are you and Toni dating?"
"yes, mother" Cheryl said annoyed
"I want to meet her once this pandemic is over with. She's in that house with my grandchildren and we don't want another Bryson situation. Remember when he cheated on you?"
"how could I forget"
"Don't do anything stupid, Cheryl. Tell Chloe and Adriel, I love them" Penelope said before leaving the call
Toni got up and went to cuddle the girl sitting on the couch. Cheryl put her head on Toni's chest and Toni put her arms around her
"she's a total bitch" Cheryl said and Toni started laughing
"I wanted you to say it first" Toni said with a laugh
"If you liked her that would have been a red flag for me"
Cheryl looked up at Toni, "you don't have to meet her if you don't want to"
"I'll do whatever you want" Toni said and Cheryl smiled before Toni kissed her forehead
"the virus cases are getting higher, I order some mask, so if we ever need to go outside we can." Cheryl said
"that just mean I get to spend more time with you and your kids"
Cheryl sighed, "I don't expect you to spend the whole time with me, if you want to go stay some where you can"
"no way, I've gotten used to waking up next to you every morning, well besides today" Toni said and Cheryl gasped
"what?"
"I forget the kids could walk down any second. Get off of me, you're supposed to be my friend" Cheryl said after jumping off of the couch
Toni grabbed Cheryl's thighs, "is that a fanasty you have? We're best friends, you start changing in front of me and I just take you right here"
"that's basic, I have so many more that would blow your mind" Cheryl said before walking away
"tease"
"I try, but I need to cook breakfast this morning. She really said she thinks I forgot how to cook, I'll show her" Cheryl said and Toni let out a loud laugh
