average beauty (yuri) prologue

"Hi, I'm y/n and I'm not like other girls" I say as I do a dramatic hair flip inside my head.

*sighs* "what a joke, hi my name is Sanjiya Tamang, and I'm quite average. I'm like your usual background character who never gets noticed unless the main character decides to notice me and talk to me."

"But wait-

what's this-

I actually have an interesting unusual fact about me that makes me not average amongst other humans-?"

"Oh yea, I'm an anime AND a kpop stan, I honestly have too many problems-"

"I suppose even with these 2 problems I am still quite average compared to others since many other people also have quite the same similarities and interests as me." I say as I laugh myself from amazement

My features, well ... they aren't very outstanding ...

I have black hair and black eyes, it's quite the common feature amongst us humans. Not only that but I also have short hair, even if I were one of the main characters, I would always be the second choice who gets a bad ending.

The main female character of this exhilarating yet monotonous novel you are reading right now would supposedly be the girl in the classroom right next to mine. We are in the same grade and we are the same age, but we have a clear difference which is quite noticeable even if you look at us from afar.

Oh wait-

I made a mistake-

Not just supposedly, but she actually IS the main character of this novel.

She has an unusual bright neon hair that's not really that common, light blue eyes that seem as if they would shine like gems if you put them under a microscope with lighting, she has a clear face with no pimples or pores, she has a cute face that looks so innocent that it seems as if it could attract anyone, she has good fashion sense as her clothes perfectly match up with her figure.

Besides talking about her physical attributes which can clearly be seen, she is quite smart with all A+ in every single one of her classes, she has also managed to keep a gpa of 4.0 ever since we were young. She has quite the great reputation among all the 1000+ students who attend our University.

Now now, you might be wondering, who is this girl that I speak so highly enough to think that she is the main character, you might be wondering why do I compliment her so?

Her name is Kaneila Gurung, we met in 6th grade and we were friends before when she was a new student but I distanced myself from her noticing how much popularity she was gaining.

I mean it was quite noticeable that she would gain popularity fast as she was a new student and she was able to stand out from the crowd with her looks and smarts.

*sighs* if you're wondering as to why I compliment her so, I actually don't quite know the answer myself, I'm stuck between, "Do I want to be her" or "Do I want to be with her"

Oh yea, spoiler alert if you didn't know already, I'm a god damn pansexual so my love life is limitless yet I'm a hopeless romantic who relies on books, dramas, and animes to cope with the loneliness I face on a daily.

But now, besides all this degrading myself while praising her-

Yes she is indeed the main character of this novel but you will be hearing my dialogues most of the time and the times you hear me talk will probably be about me fangirling about Kaneila or just me talking about my tedious and average life, so stay tuned I suppose.
